★★★★☆ So we ordered tandoori chicken legs and when we got there found out they only had the chicken breast, which was totally fine with us. The tandoori chicken breasts were so large that my husband and I only ate one and saved the other one for the next day. It was very good. We also tried the lamb burgers which were a tad too spicy for us. But we would def get the tandoori again. The lamb biryani was more like a lamb curry with rice but it was flavorful. ★★★★☆ I only come here for one thing and one thing only. The lamb boti wrap, it is amazing! I had bites and tasted their other dishes they were pretty good, but the lamb wrap was love at first sight. Ask for their special sauce. I wouldn't come here for typical desi food, there are better options for that. Posted on September 25, 2014 |

★★★★★ Very nice place. Lamb burger and boti wrap is my favorite. They do offer specials everyday try that. Posted on April 12, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely slow and bad food service. We ordered 3 items and there was a gap of 10 minutes between each of them. We tried only the chaats and will never come back.
The papri chat was ok.
The veggie pakora were raw from the inside
The samosas were the frozen variety that they are selling for $2 a pop.
The chantni was extremely diluted.
Very disappointed since the man at the counter seemed nice at first but when we told him about our experience he was very indifferent and just handed back our change and started to take the next order. Posted on February 23, 2013 |

★★★★★ This place is awesome. The owner is very professional. The place is very clean. Food is always fresh. Wraps, Naans, curries are all very good. The saturday chicken Tandoori is very very delicious.
The only feedback for the owner is to figure out a way to make saturday chicken available without the deal. You have to buy $10 worth of food to place an order and they don't sell it without the deal. Posted on May 14, 2012 |

★★★★☆ 4 stars as they have a good variety of wraps. Good naans and grill kebabs. Tea is decent as well... The other stuff i'm not sure about. Posted on February 9, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ This place is like a Cafe,If you need quick food this is the right place but I definitely do not recommend the biryani and curry here though everything else is fine.I like the Chapli Kabab here which is made pretty well. Posted on October 25, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ CTM with naan was average. Wasn't overly impressed. Posted on July 2, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Happened to be shopping nearby so stopped there to have a late lunch. Halal sign was clearly visible in the window and the menu as well as the staff assured the halal status. Friendly staff, clean premises, plenty of seating (outside seating as well), restrooms looked a bit dim and dated but were clean. I liked the menu a lot - South Asian cuisine. We opted for the garlic naan and paneer makhani which we really enjoyed (a little spicier than what i expected but we were given raita along with it). Posted on July 1, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Went here for lunch as I happened to be passing in the area and it was okay. It was confirmed to me by the staff that all meat is Zabihah, as well as by the halal logos on the menus. Although this place is mainly a South-Asian restaurant, I had the chicken burger which was cooked well. I had really wanted the Chicken haleem, but it is only served on weekends. Prices here are not too bad. The service was good and the place was neat and clean with a decent amount of seating. Posted on November 28, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ This place is located in the shopping center across from Shan restaurant. I had the aloo naan, which was good. I also had the tandoori chicken wings, which was pretty good too, although I was expecting "Buffalo" wings...I guess there is a difference:). It also came with Raita, instead of ranch sauce, but it was still good. I agree with one of the previous posts that they should at least put a small sign on the window or on the menu about the Halal meat, so people will know. The interior of the place was okay, and the service was a bit slow. Not a bad place to grab a quick bite! Posted on February 15, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ The quality of food has gone down considerably over the last year. On a good day, if you're lucky, their spicy tandoori chicken wings are worth it. Posted on February 13, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ Its just not the same as Chaat Cafe and I don't just mean the name. The meat was either too chewy or too spicy, the chaat was not made well at all. The service seemed to lack genuine interest in customers. It's a great location but I just couldn't help thinking that there is another halaal restaurant in the complex. Posted on August 3, 2005 |

★★★★★ New Tandoori Cafe is an excellent choice I know the chef and the owner and their supplier its all halal I appreciate sajid's concern of their diverse clientele and if spice hut puts it up thats their business model hey guys its great food coming out of Irfan the cook and the place for its price is Value for money lets not crib and make it easier for Sajid and co Posted on November 18, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ The guys at the counter were confused about the price of an item I ordered, the food wasn't tasty, the place has been renamed to "Chaat Cafe" (I could also see the Tandoori Cafe signboard tucked away in a corner).
Further, when I placed my order for chicken ticka masala, the guys at the counter *assumed* I had ordered the more expensive dinner and not the ala carte. It was only when I clarified what he had charged me for (since the check was higher than what I had expected), that he mentioned I had been charged for the dinner combo. Maybe, that was a genuine mistake, but overall the experience was a bad one. And if you measure popularity by the size of crowd, it certainly doesn't seem to be a popular one. ★★★☆☆ I hope this comment is read by Sajid. The taste (of especially gravies) has changed. Kofta curry tastes more sour than spicy. I was so happy to visit your restaurant in the past but not any more. Please bring back the old taste. Posted on September 14, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ I appreciate the clarification issued by the owner of Tandoori cafe. I have a suggestion for him that should close the question of whether or not he food is halal. Please write a small note at the bootom of the menu card or on the menu list saying that all meats are halal. That will more than suffice. The note can be in the smallest font possible. If a Christian owned restaurnat like Spice hut can proudly display its halal certification, I don't see why Mr Sajid Amin cannot do that. Posted on September 7, 2004 |

NR My name is Sajid Amin, and I solely own "New Tandoori cafe", previously known "Chaat Cafe".I came to find out that my restaurant's name has been defamed by some un-ethical muslim brothers, about saying that I don't sell halal meat? I like to confront to those people who have no idea what Islam religion is based upon? who dispargae the religion without having any knowledge of it. I have a certified vedor "AL-Hayaat", who sells everthing Halal. I donot like to post religious verses or post any religious comments on the wall. I have diversified cliental and by bringing religion or showing religious comments, might make them offensive. I do know the right being a muslim to have respect other religions and cultures. I donot live and do business offensing or encourging any authnicity or religion. I am more than happy to discuss this to any scholar or person who really know what Islam is. Please feel free to come and eat halal food and enjoy living peacefully without any prejudice, So we can set examples to others about who we are and what we beleive in. Posted on September 6, 2004 |
