★★★★★ Came for early dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was mostly quiet at first but filled up later. We ordered the pilaf, the lamb noodle soup and the hand pulled noodles. Everything was delicious, the kid finished his adult portion lamb noodle soup very quickly and this was probably my favorite dish. Portions were large.
Parking is available at the back although for a handful of cars only. Restaurant was clean but they accept cash only although the Citibank ATM is 2 blocks away.
Will definitely be back if I'm in the neighborhood again. Posted on December 7, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Uyghur food is hard to come by, so I'm very glad we have this restaurant near us. The menu is very lamb-centric, so it is not the place to bring your vegetarian friends/family. My husband and I either get the big plate chicken or another noodle dish. They are good, but greasy and, in the case of the big plate chicken, quite spicy. It is cash only! The prices are pretty high, so we don't come here too often. Posted on April 2, 2018 |

★★★☆☆ I tried 4-items so far, Lamb Kabobs, The Meat Pie, Ribs, and Noodle Soup. The Lamb Kabob is pretty good but nothing special really, The Meat Pie is nothing but grease/oily pastry with little bits of meat. The Ribs are nothing but Fat attached to the rib bone with no meat whatsoever, and the Noddle Soup is simple with Onions, Carrot, Pulled Noddles, and pieces of Lamb attached with its fat.
The price of each item is pretty expensive for a small place like this, and they only accept cash! I don't think I will ever come here again Posted on April 13, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I found this place about a year ago and I go back at least once a month,I can't get enough of the hand pulled noodles .
Place is awesome just wish they would have more choices on there menu.
I was getting so tired of the typical halal Chinese restaurants Posted on January 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ My first time visit here and hope to dine here many more times in the future InshaAllah. Totally different than the regular Chinese food. Lamb Kabob is fantastic and highly recomended. Rice Pilaf with Lamb (their version of fried rice) is also tasty so was the Lamb ribs. Meat pie was tasty. Some items are a little pricey, but the friendly service and the taste make it worth it. Homemade Yogurt is not too sweet, which I liked. My overall experience here is very satisfactory. It is fully run and managed by Muslim family members. They don't push to sell but take their time to answer questions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT specially to the "Lamb" lovers. Posted on September 11, 2011 |

★★★★★ Went there since i wanted to try the Uyghur cuisine. Only tried the lamb kebabs which are pretty awesome. Also tried their homemade yogurt which is also highly recommended. Prices are bit on the steep side but the taste makes up for it. Posted on July 2, 2011 |

★★★★★ I was very surprised when I drove up to this small place which to the eye does not look like much but the small car park was filled with expensive cars. This tells me that even though they could afford to go else where they came to Omars. Inside me and my family were the only non Chinese and even though they only had 6 tables they were all full and as soon as one emptied it immediately taken. They have a very limited menu of mainly lamb dishes and a couple of chicken. The menu is very different to the regular Chinese places I've been to but it was very good. I will be back when in the area. My kids liked the meat pie. Posted on May 30, 2011 |

★★★★★ Food was very tasty, and did not taste like typical chinese. Small eating area, not very fancy. I ordered the following:
1) Meat pie: Crispy pastry with well-seasoned lamb filling. Served hot. Might get soggy for take out but tasted great there.
2) Lamb kebabs: Pieces of lamb seasoned with cumin and other spices. Slightly spicy.
3) Hand-pulled noodles: Chewy noodles with stir-fried vegetables and lamb. Seasoned-well with garlic and other spices; not very spicy.
4) Cucumber with garlic: Chopped cucumber dressed with salt and a garlic. Simple dish, tasted good but a bit pricey for what you get. Posted on March 28, 2011 |

NR Found this restaurant after reading a review in the LA Times. Great food and very authentic food from the Xiangjang province of China. This food in unlike the ordinary Chinese Islamic cuisine most people are familiar with. This is a mix of Chinese and Turkic/central Asian cuisine. Its a very small restaurant and you'll find it filled with chinese patrons - a testament to it's authenticity and taste.
I have yet to try all its dishes, but the hand pulled noodles is a dish they're known for is very good. Posted on February 7, 2011 |
