★★★★☆ Real authentic afghan food. The meat is halal and dishes are decent size. I’m an Afghan an know my food. The Bolani and Mantu is a must try at this place . Very delicious and I ordered the Qabili and kabob. The rice is average but the kabob was good. It’s a bit pricy but San Diego is usually expensive compared to LA or OC. Great service and I’ve been here three times and the they always are consistent compared to other Afghan restaurants like Kabul west where it’s hit and mess.. overall a nice place and good atmosphere. ★★★★☆ When we visited we were verbally assured by owners that it is halal. We didn't check any credentials and they do serve alcohol. We ordered sambosa for appetizers which were excellent, followed by lamb chops (also excellent, definitely recommend) and chicken with kabuli pulao which was average. They did give us complimentary dessert (firni) which was also excellent. Ambience is very nice, good decor. Good place for family, however, like mentioned before they do serve alcohol. ★★★★☆ Very nice environment. Went their with my parents on my visit to San Diego. Food was excellent and staff was very friendly. Menu was good. Went their again after couple of days with some guest. Waiter Ehsan with his pleasant smile and hospitality added to all the good stuff. He served complimentry dessert on our first visit and special afghan qehwa(tea) on 2nd visit. Must visit place. We walked in enquiring about halal meat, the servers had no idea what we were talking about. They serve alcohol. The quantity of served food was poor; we ordered main courses and were horrified to see the amount sitting in our plates. Although the owner promised it was halal, we were still not so sure about it.
