★☆☆☆☆ Seems like very nice people but I would not recommend buying from the store. They sold me 7 month expired rice, I spend quite a bit on it and I had to eat stale rice for a long time. I did not check the expiration date because it never crossed my mind that they would keep expired food. I also bought some chicken from them, the quality was very poor. I would go somewhere else. ★★☆☆☆ I have tried this place many times thinking it was the only source of Halal Meat. The quality of the meat has been below average almost every time. Posted on October 31, 2005 |

★★★★☆ As previously mentioned the meat is hand slaughtered, butchered and prepared for you as you wait or you can call ahead and order. The arrival of fresh meat is sporadic, it depends on the delivery truck. Also has frozen meat and fish available. This is my preferred local halal meat store, even though others are closer to where I live and work. Good selection of spices, paratha and other groceries. Prices are reasonable. ★★★☆☆ i have not been here in quite some time (8 mo. ago) but the owner (othman?) i think was his name is also the one who butchers the meat, so it is local and not imported from new zealand like some halal grocers do. In other words it is fresh and zabiha. As to the quality it varies, and I have actually paid quite a very heavy price for meat that was inedible, very expensive and had to be thrown out! I did buy tender meat there but only once, sadly. Good selection of groceries, packaged soups, rice, prayer rugs etc phone cards. Owners/workers muslim and very nice. Posted on January 3, 2004 |
