HALAL SUMMARY
A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this market.
★★★☆☆ The store is very small, but it has a relatively extensive amount of groceries for its size. I've bought chicken here a couple times; one time it had a strange smell, but I cooked it and it was fine. They package the meat for you in plastic grocery bags, so make sure to repackage it properly upon arriving home. The store itself could be a bit cleaner and more sanitary; when the butcher weighs the meat, he places it directly onto the scale without any covering, and I didn't see him wash it before or afterwards (he might have, though, and I just didn't see it). The ground beef being sold didn't look very fresh. Posted on January 26, 2010
