★★★★★ Great food and not expensive at all. They have the best naan and biriyani in the region. I go there often, whenever I feel like getting Bangladeshi cuisine. The people are also nice. Posted on April 16, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place is a disaster and insult in the name of food. Drove 45 min with family for a Saturday evening dinner but what we had for $60 was not even worth passing on to homeless people. Cashier was more interested in knowing the age of my 5 years old son who was sick and sleeping, to see if she could hit me with another $10 for buffet too. If this place would have been in any Desi country, it would run out of business within a week. Lucky of them being in the US where people accept anything in the name of Halal. ★☆☆☆☆ Worst food we ever had. Lamb kabob had strange smell in it. Chicken Biryani was mushi and over spiced (we requested mild). Nan was burned. Air conditioning was not working and it real warm inside. Toilet seat was broken in men's room. I cannot say any thing good for this restaurant. Posted on September 6, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ this place was dirty and there was a hair in my plate.. Posted on January 4, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ The guy at the Register is good, but the young guy in the kitchen is So rude and has disease of staring at the women. He try to talk flirt and start going nasty. Posted on March 25, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Average food, much lower price than competing (non-halal) restaurants. Very plain inside, but they definitely DO NOT short change you on servings. My husband and I at there twice last week for less than $13 total each night. Posted on July 18, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ Menu selection is not very good in the buffet. Food price is a bit on the higher side. But with no other restaurant in metro richmond area. atleast some thing is better then nothing. Posted on April 10, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ This used to be among very few places we would go to eat halal food. Last time (today) was a terrible terrible experience. They gave us precooked chicken for the kabob (the cold leftovers from buffet which were burnt), the rice was at least three days old, my wife found hair in chikpeas and the worst is that it was diiirty. I think as muslims we deserve better and cleaner service. One less restaurant to take my visitors or have a fun dinner with the family! Posted on March 1, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ Waste of money. Food is really expensive. All the food is cooked in pre-made spices like National, Shan, Laziza etc..
You can buy the spices and cook your food at home by yourself. They do not have a cook neither they have their own recipies. Posted on February 6, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ Great chicken boneless, very flavorful. Naans are good too, and i've seen better buffets but i was happy with what i got there. The place itself is pretty clean. Posted on December 28, 2007 |

★★★★★ Have been to this place many times....Again, the service is really good, and they are fast. The place is clean, b-rooms tidy, place for prayer if you need. The naan is AWEsome, usually we telephone an order of 4-5 naan between myself and my wife.....ooh yea, we have kids too. Sometimes we share with them (it's really good) :)! I found that ordering plates gets very pricey, so consider getting the all-u-can-eat for $10 which gives you all u can eat naan, kebabs(YUM), biryani, curries, tandoori chicken (mmm-mmm-mmm) and sweets. Their Kheer is really really good, after having my mother's kheer (rice pudding) never have I had kheer that was any good, except at this place! Their Chaat Papri is decent. Whatever they offer of course is on a rolling basis, so sometimes they will have tandoori chicken and sometimes not, but according to other reviews, these guys will actually make you some stuff on the spot...I have to agree that this place is a great start for Richmond and with constructive advice i'm sure we'll start to get places around here rivaling NYC or North VA, since the other gentleman's advice to drive up there is not doable for most! ★★★☆☆ I have been to this restaurant few times. Food is okay. It is a very typical Pakistani food place. The owner likes to short change you on quantity. They can make improvement. [Edited by administrator for content violations] Posted on May 21, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ Assalam-o-Alaikum to my Muslim brothers and sisters. As an overweight person who has traveled extensively in search of good food. I have visited this establishment 4 times (with an open mind v every time)and here are my comments:
1) The food/menu needs to be improved for an authentic pakistani indian flavor
2) Prices are very high for a desi place
3) Plus for a clean bathroom and friendly staff
4) We ordered all different dishes every time and did not get any authentic flavor we were looking for.
5) This resturant is more geared for locals who are new to "foreign cuisine"
6) Overall rating a 2 out of 10. You will be better off driving up to northern va for the real deal. Posted on April 30, 2007 |

★★★★★ I have been a frequent visitor, really the food is great a very low priced particularly the kebabs are delicious. very very appreciable customer service, very neat, clean, nice surroundings with clean and tidy rest rooms. The Naan is great worth giving a try. The bottom line is some good has finally arrived in
richmond. Keep it up....!! Posted on January 14, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ When this place first opened, I was thrilled. Finally a Pakistani restaurant in Richmond. We must have tried 4/5 times hoping that the food would get better. Unfortunately apart from the chicken kakab, the food (all the curries/salans) suck. They really need to get a better chef. The whole community would love for this place to succeed, but not at the cost of good food. Posted on November 11, 2006 |

★★★★★ We stopped by for brunch on our way to Shenandoah valley and food was so good it made us stop for brunch again on our way back.
Service was fast and food was fresh and tasty. Normally Pakistani/Indian restaurants use lot of spices to make food tasty but food at SHISH KABOB was NOT SPICY and yet TASTY!
We tried 3 different dishes
- Boneless Chicken Kabobs
- Goat Biryani
- Special Shish Kabobs
Everything was really good but if you have to order only one day, i'll say go for Boneless chicken Kabobs.
I'll for sure stop by during our next long drive. Posted on May 30, 2006 |

★★★★☆ We went there over this weekend. Food was great. Pricy though. Excellent service. Inside has very moderate, simple and clean look. They did not have Butter Chicken but made it for us from scratch even though it's not in their menu now that is what I call great service. Haleem needs some work but if you agree with me than please let the owner know so they can make it better for you. Very friendly staff. Bath rooms are very nice and clean with washing pot inside. Kebabs are just awesome. We'll be going there very frequently. We tried Chicken Karachi which was good; Haleem needed some work, Shish Kebab to die for, Nan just awesome. Posted on April 10, 2006 |

★★★★☆ I have heard from a friend that this is the only Pakistani style restaurant in Richmond and they were very happy with the food. I will go next week to post my own experience. Posted on April 3, 2006 |
