★★★★★ I visited this place and thought it was awesome. The meat section is very clean, efficient and well stocked. There is a large variety of meats (lamb, chicken, beef, quail) including different cuts of steak. The grocery sections contained many great items including fresh produce and fresh baked breads. The freezer section contains the top halal brands of prepared foods (bologna, chicken nuggets, breakfast strips). Halal certification clearly on display on a large sign in the deli area. They also carry the main halal brands of Chicken (i.e. Crescent, etc.) Posted on August 2, 2013 |

★★★★★ We go here for the meats. The man'aye and meat cuts are good. The owners and staff are really friendly. They don't have any restaurant on site. Maybe they used to? Posted on July 9, 2015 |

★★★★★ I've been shopping here for about 4 years now. Staff are nice and helpful. I asked if it's Halal they said yes. I also ask people that know live in this area and they said the same thing that it is Halal. Meat Posted on May 1, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Everything is good! The Bread is the best! But i wonder who certified their Halal meat and chicken products? You see a sign of Crescent but nothing else! no label of Crescent on any label! Posted on December 22, 2013 |

★★★★★ I just want to get the chance to thanks everyone who works there. It is a really great supermarket for Muslims needs. I enjoy shopping weekly and everyone there has a willing to help with a big smile on her/his face. The supermarket itself made me feel I am in my home town. No need to ship anything from home because everything I need is there specially meats and rice.
Thank you Ms.Khaloud for thevgreat supermarket and special thank you to the workers there. Posted on October 10, 2011 |

★★★★★ I love sara's! Best pita! And about 2 years ago they stopped selling non-halal meat. So, they only have HALAL meat now! So, I dont know what some of the other customers are talking about. My husband called their halal vendor about 6 months ago to confirm because we had heard rumors about many stores having non halal meat in dallas and houston. so, we always verify. ★★★★★ Sara' Bakery caters to all ethnicities. I'm a Mexican-Persian-American and I love that they have halal meat for my father and other non-halal meat for my mother!
Yes, you have to read your labels but that is at any and every store! Sara's Bakery has always had great customer service in my opinion and don't decieve their customers...only cater.
I've seen the owners in the store over the years and they're not the type of owners to serve anything to their customers that they wouldn't serve to their own family. Posted on June 16, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ When we found out that not all the chicken was halal and that both were packaged almost identically and placed right next to each other we were outraged. When I expressed my concerns to the cashier he acted like it was not a big deal and that some of the other patrons told him that they just say bismillah before eating non-halal food and it magically turns to halal. After that idiotic explanation I walked out to never return and told all my friends about the situation. Needless to say we all threw out a lot of chicken that day. If the owner doesn't care that he is selling non-halal food to his customers then he shouldn't be disappointed that we have all taken our business elsewhere. We are a large community of Muslim students at the University of North Texas and we used to drive for 45 minutes to get here. If some magic word makes machine slaughtered chicken halal then Walmart is only 5 minutes away. God will punish you for your deceit. Posted on May 11, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I shop in this store several times each week. The employees there are always busy, but I have been waited on very curtiously. The quality of product has been good. I will continue to shop there Posted on November 12, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ Store had a decent variety of products, however; I was not impressed with the cashier, he only spoke to me when my little girl kept saying "hello, hello, hello!", finally, he replied. I do not plan to give them my business, I'd rather go someplace people treat my family with some respect. Posted on August 30, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ They have the freshest pita bread in town, white and wheat. And it smells so good too. Alhumdillah! If you come on Saturdays, you can feel the warm bread in hot packages.
I have eaten at the bakery on several occasions. I recommend the shish chicken...it's just perfect with a little bit of hot sauce.
The only thing wrong with Sara's bakery is the service. Being a Muslim, but not being someone who is Arab, I once asked the owner who works there if they had the orange desert that looks like it has carrots on it and has a creme filling on that day (that always is served in the bakery area). Of course, I didn't know that it was called kanafe...she stared at my face for a minute because she didn't understand what I was saying...and then rudely said, "Kanafe" and then walked away.
I am never going there again. Why should I give my money to someone who is so rude? Posted on August 12, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ I have been to Sara's often. I love the shish kabob sandwitch most of all. I honestly do not like the rice or the service at the cashier. The rotisserie chicken, babaganouge, kefta kabab and sweets are very good. Posted on May 13, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ I've been here once and will not go back. Upon cashing out, the men doing so were having a conversation and didn't even say "hello" or "asalaamu alaykum" or "have a nice day". They just wrang up our order and pretended we were not there. So, I won't go back again and bother them. Very bad service all around. Very dissapointing since they have nice food. ★★★★☆ Very clean store. You can find almost anything you need to prepare middle eastern food. Cons: You can find cheaper prices elsewhere in the same city, the meat is not totaly clear if it is Halal, the chicken is for sure machine slaughtered. Posted on March 12, 2002 |

★★★★★ "This is a grocery store + restaurant. Their Zabiha dishes include Shish Chicken, Shish Kabob, Kefta Kabob skewers, Rotisserie Chicken, Hommos, Babaganouge, etc. We thought it was great value for the money. They also had a variety of Mediterranean sweets and foods. It's close to Valley View Ln and 75." Posted on February 1, 2001 |
