★★★★★ I am so glad we went to this restaurant Masha'Allah. Where else can you get a proper halal breakfast for such a great price? My husband and I both ordered breakfast plates (his with beef bacon, pancakes, eggs, and home fries; mine with beef bacon, pancakes, and grits), and they were amazing. The grits were a bit too buttery for my taste, but I was glad they even offered grits as an option. They also sell fantastic bottled juices; we tried passionfruit guava and it was sublime. The menu is quite extensive; we were bummed that we were leaving that day and wouldn't be able to come back and try more of their food! The restaurant is divided into two sections; the place where you order is kind of run-down, but the adjacent dining area is quite nice. I pray that Allah blesses their business so that they can continue to feed South Philly for many, many years to come! Posted on May 26, 2019 |

★★★★☆ Halaal Zabiha Philly Cheesesteak which was amazing. I also tried mac and cheese and fresh bbq wing they make infront of customers. Saw many ppl coming in buying their bbq beef ribs and chicken. Servers muslim also. Highly recommended. Posted on November 2, 2018 |

★★★★★ Excellent halal Philly cheese steak in Philadelphia. A hidden gem in town. A small but clean establishment. The cheese steak was outstanding and was made fresh to order. Very friendly staff and quick service. If you are looking for a halal and tasty cheese steak in the Philadelphia area, this is the place to go. Would definitely go again when we are in the area. ★★★★☆ Was traveling to the area and actually ended up here because another restaurant I was going to was closed. It ended up being a good choice. Although they did not have any sandwiches or wings, and were just serving platters, it was quite good. There is also a Masjid across the street. Posted on April 6, 2014 |

★★★★★ This is hands down the best Philly Cheese Steak I have ever eaten, period.
I came here originally 6 years back and when I returned the quality has gotten even better. I will always make an effort to visit these people when I can. It is great food. AWESOME people and it is also across the street from a masjid.
May Allah grant them Barakah! Ameen. Posted on March 11, 2014 |

★★★★★ I have been wanting to go back to Southside Sandwiches since the day they closed. I was so happy the last time I was in Philly, I saw that they had re-opend as Southside Zabihah (but unfortunately it was a Monday and they are closed on Mondays). I had a lovely experience today with food and staff. I must say for soul food, this is definitely the best place. I really wanted a cheesesteak, but they were out. I did get some wings (fried and barbecued), they were tasty, hot, and sticky. We got sides with our barbecued wings platter, collared greens (delicious) and mac & cheese. The burger was a wonderful beef patty made in house. The last thing we had was the chicken cheesesteak, good bread just wish I had provolone cheese instead of american. Overall staff was very accommodating and honest. They answered all of our questions and it was just a pleasant experience. Posted on October 10, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I'd heard a lot about this place, specifically about their wings. When they re-opened they no longer have them and thus the rest of the menu is average. I would not go out of my way to eat here personally. Posted on June 6, 2012 |
