★☆☆☆☆ 1.5 hours to get 'boneless' chicken full of bones. Their 'head chef' says
Haven't you ever eaten at a restaurant before? Only some of the bones is boneless'
These boneheads need a dictionary. If you want rude overpriced service, extra oil on and in your soupy hummus, extra greasy 'boneless' chicken full of bones, and the world's slowest chef, then you've found it here. Posted on October 11, 2020 |

★★★☆☆ I like the ambience of this particular place... the service is also superb. HOwever, the steaks that I ordered is not what I expected so far... but then again, it was complemented with the other spicy food that I ordered that time.
I would still return to this place. Posted on March 23, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ Nice seating but the garlic sauce tasted disgusting, it had a dirty wet cloth or off taste. The chicken was fine. I don't think we would go back. Posted on July 26, 2010 |

★★★★★ I love their shisk taouk. they put halal sign in their flyer. We can also order sharwarma although it's not in the menu. A bit pricy for students but the food is simply worth it. The owner is nice too. Posted on January 6, 2007 |

★★★★★ No doubt about it. This is the best middle-eastern/lebanese food I have eaten in Ottawa. Very reasonable prices, especially considering the quality and freshness of the food. I've been twice now, and will Insha'Allah return many more times.
The first time we went, my wife and I got the Shish Kebab and Shish Tawook plates which we very much enjoyed. The meat and chicken were both very tender and were grilled to perfection. We also went with vegetarian friends who very much enjoyed the Vegetarian platter (my friend said it was the best falafel he has ever eaten!).
We returned tonight to try their famous Whole Grilled Chicken (it's received very favourable reviews in the Ottawa Citizen) . We first tried the Batata Harara, which is an appetizer of roasted potatoes that comes with Garlic. Normally I don't like too much garlic, but the stuff they give you here is next-level. I found myself heaping it onto the perfectly seasoned potatoes. As for the chicken itself, it came with a bed of rice, as well as hummus, and salad, and it was absolutely delicious.
I don't want to make this sound like a advertisement, so I will say that my wife does not love the rice that they give. On the other hand, I find it's okay.
The decor is standard, but nothing special. The service is very friendly.
As I mentioned, I will return Insha'Allah. I can't believe that this place has not been posted on Zabihah.com before now. For us, this was a hidden gem that we are thrilled to have discovered, and we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. Posted on November 25, 2006 |
