★★★★☆ I travel a LOT; all over the US and sometimes overseas. 38 years in the States, Halal is a must and must be verified. That's why Zabihah is always there when I'm on the road.
I visited Shiraz Grill in Orlando this week. Food is great, service and friendliness of the staff was superb.
As I'd read on Zabihah, the staff confirmed that their entire menu is Halal. Another "litmus" test for me was when I saw a Muslim lady with Hijab dining there as well. Ate a lot and visited their lounge and treated myself to Hookah also.
If one doesn't feel right to be in a restaurant where alcohol is being served, that's indeed their prerogative. My requirement was Halal food and I did find it. If there was none around, I would probably end up in a fish restaurant that serves alcohol as well :)
Food and service is highly recommended. Going back tonight, iA. Posted on January 25, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Went here over the weekend. Service was ok and staff was friendly but a couple of things brought done my rating to 3.
1) the amount of time it took to get water, tea, and our food. we wait at least 15-20 mins to get water/tea. It took almost an hour to get our food out. If this was a busy restaurant, i would understand but there were maybe 3-5 other tables occupied (it's a decent sized restaurant).
2)the beef kabobs were very good but chicken was kind of dry and wasn't flavorful.
3)price to portion was fine and it's comparable to other persian restaurants i have been to.
If they have can speed up the time it takes to get food, i would be willing to come back. Posted on February 19, 2014 |

★★★★☆ It was good food… However they serve alcohol which is a major turnoff especially with them being Muslim! Posted on October 20, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I love the food! But a little pricey and service is not great. Servers should be nicer! Posted on August 12, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ We went in with good expectations. The waiter was new but courteous and friendly. The higher than average menu prices didn't really match the quality of the place. The restaurant has a lot of space but the few people that were there made it look empty. The service was prompt. The problem was with the most important factor - the food. The lamb we had ordered was too charred and there were chunks of fat mixed in. Just an hour after dinner it caused some food poisoning. Posted on March 24, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Salaam. The food is good, but the service is not. I told the waitress to ask the chef, to not let my chicken kabob get charred or 'black' - when the meal was served, it was charred. I cut off the 'black' parts and ate it anyway, as we waited a while for it to be prepared, and I was hungry. The one thing I felt that they should improve on is: to clean the cushions or replace in the back area. The were orange in color, but dingy. I really like the the rice and koftah kabob though.
But don't like 'dingy' cushions or smelly. Posted on March 18, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Too expensive for me. I go in sometimes for hookah though. Posted on September 22, 2011 |

NR I'm not sure if this place is truly halal -- I called today to check, and the woman I spoke to had no clue what halal was...I even repeated it in different ways (Islamic kosher, zabiha, plain ol' halal) but I don't know if she didn't understand me or she didn't know what it was.
Has anyone been recently and confirmed this place as halaal?

★☆☆☆☆ i was really dissapointed in my dining experience..like there's just too much that went wrong for me to go into some long detailed diatribe right now..but i can't bring myself to go back..where do i start?..apathetic service?..food overpromised and underdelivered?..items ordered not showing up?..i mean i could go on and on..this place needs a big overall..they got the right idea,.just failed big time on the execution.
