HALAL SUMMARY
The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status.
★☆☆☆☆ I went for lunch today and buffet was available for carry out. When i went for serving the indian guy who was there told me that i can take only 2 scoops of biriyani and 2 scoops of tandoori chicken and all the rest of the items only 1 scoop. Which was a very bad experience..If they limit the scoopes whats the point of calling it a buffet take out. I would never goto this place again and the indian guy who was there should me more polite to their customer rahter saying this stupid kind of things... Posted on December 25, 2010
★★★★☆ Best dinner but worst buffet for South Asian restaurant in Delaware. The food is always served hot (as opposed to the late Star of India) and seems fresh. It is more or less standard fare save a few (mediocre) East Asian dishes but the presentation is excellent and the seasoning has always been good for me. I would recommend the biryani and korma. I am not sure why ramsha gave such a poor rating unless she ate the horrible buffet they serve. I've eaten the buffet three times and each time it is cold, tastes old, and makes me wish I hadn't eaten. The only saving grace is the free lassis.
Service has always been great--the waiters check up on you and refill water, etc. There is low volume Filmi music playing most of the time in case you like that or it bothers you. Place is clean and nicely decorated. Bathrooms are typical of a small restaurant--not spotless but not dirty.
The lady at the restaurant didn't recognize the word zabiha but when I said halal she said the chicken and lamb were but that's as far as I have looked into it. Posted on April 9, 2008
★☆☆☆☆ I doubt this is halal because i looked up the place where they get there meat and there is no certificate or anything of them being halal. the food is terrible bland and just makes me want to throw up. No offense. They have no choices in vegetrian food Posted on March 22, 2008
