A halal certificate is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant. Paramount Butcher Shop works directly with local farmers to ensure that only the highest quality meat reaches our guests. We believe that great tasting meat starts with naturally fed animals that are bred in a healthy environment. We offer healthy options: only the best of prime beef, dry-aged beef, chicken, lamb, poultry, veal, goat, an assortment of deli meats, and the option for special cuts upon request. All of our meats are Ontario-raised and of the highest quality. The Halal process of hand-slaughtering is an abuse-free process. Our animals are not given hormones or growth-promoted additives and are allowed to grow at a natural pace, living with low-stress, and a healthy life. As a result, our guests consume meats that are far healthier than our competitors.

★★★★★ Always good food at Paramount. Period. End of discussion. Posted on January 4, 2018 |
|
|
★★★★★ Wow, sometimes when I read reviews I'm dumbfounded by what people write. I love this place, the food is amazing with great flavor. I don't understand the complaints on the prices, I find them reasonable. I've brought employees here to other of their locations for lunches and events and it is always enjoyable. The staff is always friendly and professional. The rate of growth of the chain is a testament to the success and quality of their product. Posted on September 8, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ Food was OK. Prics was decent. Posted on October 27, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Food is tasty, service is amazing, but price is on the high side. Recommend this place for lunch since it's very fast service Posted on January 12, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ I have had Lebanese food from many different countries, and I can't say I was unimpressed! But it was not tasty enough to be so expensive, but the service was quick and efficient. Overall, it's good place for dinner Posted on December 30, 2014 |

★★★★☆ My favourite place for middle eastern breakfast. Not a big fan of there BBQ meat though. I prefer Panorama more. The Shawarma is good. I agree with many commenters that the music and songs is very loud and annoying. I think Mohamed Fakeeh is doing a great job :) Posted on November 22, 2014 |

★★★★☆ The food is not tasty and IMO is expensive. I prefer Watan restaurant to it. I do not like the music in the background. The service is good and quick. It is always very busy. I like the decoration on your way to the washrooms which are clean as well. Seems they have a lot if desserts and bakery but we haven't tried that Posted on December 16, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Wonderful ambience and seating arrangements. Food is great but on the expensive side. Would definitely visit again. Posted on July 10, 2013 |

★★★★☆ really good food and vast variety of sweets. Always enjoy my visits to Paramount ;0 Posted on October 28, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I have been a regular here for years..untill now! Food is pedestrian at its best! Service is terrible, food is cold, atmosphere is loud. This is coming from a loyal customer who always visited with a party of 10 or more..maybe I'll give them one more try before black balling them! Posted on June 18, 2012 |

NR We had visited this location of paramount in February. The portion sizes and the foods taste and were better in february than it was on our recent visit. The food was also served cold whereas it was served hot and fresh in february. I suggest they take a leaf out of their downtown locations practices and serve water jugs instead of bringing water in tiny paper cups - we had to ask for refills numerous times and service was slow! And I prefer downtown location where you order and pay at your table. Posted on April 28, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Bad service.. Posted on November 28, 2011 |

|
★★★☆☆ Excellent food, bread is amazing, full roasted chicken is great too...but very expensive. Would I go again, yes, after I have saved up enuff money. I am giving it average due to the high prices and essentially no service as you line up to get your food. Posted on November 22, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ This restaurant SUCKS!!!!! Do go here.
First the ambiance and price: food is pretty pricey, the ambiance is decent by no servers, you stand in line and pay for food and then take it to your table. I had a couple guest first time I went there and was embarrassed for choosing the place.
Second the food: the food is ordinary, I've had better tasting middle eastern food at corner shawarma corners.
Took 5 people and costed me over $100!!!!
Third, the service: after spending over a $100 I asked if I could get some to go boxes and they responded thy will charge me per box???? (cheap bastards)
Consensus: this is a shitty, over priced, over rates place. I recommend ANY place would be better than this Posted on September 22, 2011 |

★★★★★ Its the perfect place.
I love their manakeesh specially zaatar n cheese. They have v. Good chicken shawarma as well as hummos n foul. Within few minutes the whole order was ready, hot n fresh. I had a wonderful experience I will never go anywhere else. Oh and did I mention they have friendly people to serve you! One visit and u become a regular customer. 10/10 Posted on September 18, 2011 |

★★★★★ very good place love the soup and shawarma. will go again inshallah. Posted on September 4, 2011 |

|
★★★☆☆ Nice decour in the restaurant. I did feel that the restaurant was too small for the type of crowd that they receive. Didn't like that you had to stand up and place your order in line instead of having a waiter take my order. Food was delicious however I ordered the lamb plate and 5 min after I ordered they told me that they were out of lamb which I found strange that they didn't know this before I took my order. Portions are really big so if you go, go hungry. Posted on April 13, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ food was ok, expensive but quantity is fine.
arabs are like that they treat white as their mates and dark as their slaves , so far the servers are fine with me, but their staffs needs new uniform.
ISNA say they are halal but Allah knows best.
food is cold usually Posted on March 24, 2011 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ Something wrong with my taste-buds or the taste of their food is deteriorating.
The plate size is big, but not the meal itself.
I've been there several times, and there is no consistency in either the serving time or the quality of the food. Sometimes its really warm/hot (good!!) but few times it felt cold.
The owner takes the complains seriously, and rectifies it accordingly (A+ goes to him).
Arab staff is bit cold. Can I pay an extra loony for the fake smile?
If they fix three things, they are shine big-time:
- Location
- Prices
- Cold staff Posted on February 1, 2011 |

★★★★☆ CURRENT REVIEW 4 STAR Ok this is the update to my previous review. I'm going to cut them some slack from what I know this location was spinned off and the new owners updated the interiors and the service has improved as well. But nonetheless being busy is not an excuse for poor service to customers. But I would say the food is even better and definetely they have come a long way when it comes to providing better service
------------------------------------------------------------
OLD REVIEW FEB 2007 : 2 STAR - The place serves good quality food, they need to work a bit on their service, but by far the best Middle Eastern Restaurant in the Mississauga area. P.S : If you are ordering over the phone for a take away, make sure you confirm the order.
Ok a second trip... with a disgusting service experience... and feel sorry to say that if you're brown or any close denomination you should just get a take away. I heard one of the cashiers in the presence on the owner asking an old folk to not come back to the store because he didnt have cash on him and wanted to write a cheque instead.
This dude was not a young kid that you'd think is playing games. He was a fully grown 60 + old man being literally asked to get lost.
Totally disappointed just by seeing this incident taking place in front of me, makes me wanna quit eating halal when i see people being so stupid. Posted on September 13, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Never heard of this place until few months back. And ever since, I am a regular customer. Best shwarma and shish touk you can ever have in GTA (trust me I have been to over two dozen lebanese cuisines and this one tops it.)
Tho except Grill Platter and Shwarma (sandwich or a plate) everything else is average. It's worth going over and over again for that.
The only thing is, it is very very expensive food. Almost $14 for a Shwarma, that's insane. It's even more expensive than the London's Edgware Road high end Lebanese cuisines.
The service is average and except the server Kyle and that Filipino girl on cash, everyone else is arrogant in his/her capacity.
But the food is great, you gotta go check the grill platter ($18) to taste all their meat products. Posted on July 29, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ The service was bad and the food was cold. We went arount 10 PM, it was time for them to close. I they have told us that they are closing not charging us $ 125 and give us bad food. Very disapointed. Posted on July 23, 2010 |

★★★★★ Best Halal restaurant in town! Makes me feel like I'm at home, food is great!!! Posted on May 29, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I never heard of this restaurant before...and i just live near the place..thanks for my friend who introduced me to this place...my family went there last saturday for a dinner and it was jammed packed with customers...the food is great...especially the paramount special..the service, above average! i came up and met the girls stated below by thezeeshan...great customer service from both of the girls especially the one at the cash...my kids love her especially when she said SHUKRAN with a smile!! Posted on April 13, 2010 |

★★★★☆ The Chinese girl you are referring is a Filipino and her name is Joy...yes she is great! Even Hiba...good customer service for both of them Posted on April 7, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ We were coming back from USA and stopped off to eat few nights ago and the place was busy, the service was not that great. We have been to the other Paramount (Steeles/Yonge) many times and it is much better in service and they proper plates and cutlery, the food portions are better then this one .. same menu and price. We were disappointed with the Mississauga location, will not be going there again, for now we are very happy with Steele/Yonge branch. Posted on March 22, 2010 |

★★★★☆ For those of you who doubt their halaal authencity, go to their website to find out the approving organizations. http://www.paramountfinefoods.com/
Secondly, I just visited the place and had a very good experience in terms of quality of the foods. Most of the associates over there are very rude/stressed however this was countered by two girls that had above average customer service skills. Ask for Hiba or the chinese girl, they deserve to run the place. Food was priced a little higher but the quality of dishes namely mixed grill plate and chicken plate was good. Probably will visit it again. Thank you. Posted on March 1, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ We have visited there a few times and have regretted ever going there. My wife likes the sweets, which I would agree is good. However, the service is extremely poor. The thought does come to my mind: is my skin color is not right to get fair service? I have seen one person actually grabbing a set of fries in his hand and dumping it on a plate to be served. On another occasion we ordered several falafels and waited an hour and we still did not get our food. When I inquire about the source of their meat they mention an unknown place. I have given up on this place. I have no confirmation where the meat comes from. Is it halal? The food is over priced. The service is terrible. Protect your deen, save your money. ★★★☆☆ Visited with family on the weekend. Chicken Shawarma was excellent and the quantity is generous. The best part is the fresh bread. Next time I would just go for Hummus and bread. Service was bearable. Posted on July 21, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Pretty good restaurant. Services isn't the greatest but the good food makes up for it. Posted on July 5, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★☆ food is great, the bakery section is even better, however the prices are a little on the upper end. If you are looking for shawarma plates and sandwiches, there are many other places on par with paramount offering cheaper prices. If it is bakery that you are interested in, look no further. Posted on May 29, 2008 |

★★★★★ A group of my colleagues & I visited the restaurant on the 14th March '08 & found the staff pleasant and friendly. The food was authentic and delicious. We had called in the previous evening to inform them that a group of 12 would be arriving at noon, and they had our tables set appropriately as well as arranged to have extra staff attend to us. We were all very pleased with the atmosphere and will definately visit this restaurant again with our families and friends. Posted on March 16, 2008 |

NR First of all, this restaurant is owned by Lebanese Christians, The owner's name is George and most of his employees are Christians too. They claim to be Halal but there is no proof about it. So I would request all muslims to be very suspicious about it being Halal. Just being Arab does not mean that the food served is Halal.
On the Restt. side, the hygiene level leaves much to be desired. I have on 2 occasions objected to the staff behind the meat counter picking up a skewer which had fallen on the floor and just putting it back on the BBQ, or handling raw food without gloves or clean hands, picking their nose, or not being dressed appropriately.
Because its a novelty here, people are going, but the success has gone to their head. Posted on March 4, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ Visited this middle eastern owned on a weekend 45 mins before closing time, ordered for kebabs and they said they are out of everything except shawarma plate which i ordered, asked for juices and they only had one juice available. the shawarma plate was served cold and so was the bread. the servers were unkindly, arrogant and even after i called they looked at me and just walked away. could be my chocolate color but this kind of attitude doesn't work in Canada. Only thing that sells is the ambiance. Posted on March 1, 2008 |

★★★★★ I just love the food.. reminds me of the middle east Posted on February 19, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ The food is perfect, it tastes soo good and it comes in big protions but its abit pricy. The service is not bad, it can be better though. The place is usually quite buzy. Posted on October 8, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ I went to this restaurant couple of times. The food is good. I like their bread. I did not like the service as I find the staff rude and not willing to serve to the Asian people. This attitude reminded me the days I had spent in The Middle East. Posted on October 4, 2007 |

★★★★☆ This place is pretty good. I had the chicken and beef platter (combination) plate and also tried one of their fruit drinks....with ice cream...very nice! The place is clean and also they give you these fresh pita breads which are puffed up...baked fresh. Family friendly place. Posted on October 22, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Attention: It is a family owned business. The family is christian. Some of the employees are muslims and the food is great and delicios.
They have the best fresh bread and homos/babaganouj is excelant. Posted on October 18, 2006 |
