★★★★★ By far the best Afghani Kabab place in Mississauga. the meat is always marinated very well. The sauces are very flavourful. Nice large portions. have catered several gettogethers from here. Posted on November 18, 2021 |

★★★★★ We went to this place in Dec 2015. no issues with the service probably because we went there for an early dinner on a weekday and the place was not busy. the host was nice and helped us order kababs. we tried their sultani and sardari kababs. both were excellent. they came with rice which was also very good. I would definitely go there again when i am in that area. Posted on January 5, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ worst service. they have this old thin lady that barely speaks English working behind the counter. she is great at messing up orders. kandahar: be cautious and hire the right staff instead of just family. there ks an increase in the number of Afghani restaurants. you will fail if you don't improve. ★★☆☆☆ they have consistently screwed up my take out every time. after 4x i think it was enough said and i stuck to good old bamiyan kabob! food is alright but customer service is horrible! Posted on October 4, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ went to this restaurant with another family. restaurant was full all the tables were taken. tables are kind of long however you see only 2 people on the table so other 8 chairs are just wasted.
we finally found the place to sit and proceeded to cashier to place order, we got to the register and waited and waited some more, then we were told that cashier would be with us shortly and then we waited again. finally this young girl maybe 16/17 year old showed us and was just full of attitude. will just not listen to us and we had to repeat our order several time, while we were placing our order this angry gentlemen started yelling that he had been waiting for an hour. what, is he serious? yes he showed us the receipt and yes he had been waiting for over an hour. now i got worried but lucky for us our food came showed up after 35 minute wait, food was good both quantity quality wise good. ★★★☆☆ Good food and portion size.
However, their service is extremely slow. They really need to speed things up and also get some basic customer service training. Posted on September 25, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I was extremely dissapointed with the food at Kandahar. We (about 20 of us) ordered a variety of different kabab platters. The beef kofta kabab, the chicken kofta kabab, and the lamb chops were lacking in flavor and were basically bland. The chicken breast kabab pieces were OK, however, had it not been for the two types of sauces (one yogurt and one hot), provided I don't think I would have like that either. The one plus to this restaurant (aside from the sauces) was that service was generally friendly and courteous. They had messed up our order BIG TIME and various people in our party had to wait close to an hour to be served. They seemed apologetic, and offered to throw in some extra kababs. Getting more of something you didn't really care for that much the first time is not really a "plus" in my books; however the effort is duly noted. Bamiyan Kababs, walking distance from this restaurant, has better tasting food. I probably would not recommend this place. Posted on July 3, 2012 |

★★★★★ Excellent Food and very courteous staff. Generous portions too. I did find two standard Afghan food items missing though - Kabuli Pulao and Boulani. Posted on March 17, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have to say I am not sure what the other reviewers are talking about, this place is pretty good. Went there for the first time tonight and ordered kandahar and some other kabob dishes and it was very good. The portions were large, tasty, and very juicy. There are two things that would make the menu even better, one is if they added some afhgani vegetable dishes like the one old choppan on donlands used to have and other would that their chutney should be more like Bamiyan. Other than that, food is great, seating is cozy and not cramped like Bamiyan. Good stuff. Posted on November 19, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Went there last week - I have to disagree with the other reviews. This place is good value for money. The food was good - I think a bit better than Bamiyan. We will be going there back for sure. Posted on November 5, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have been disappointed by this place, food is dry and the taste is very bland. On top of it when we went there we saw a couple of customers arguing about there food. The waiters who were cleaning the table were so rude and were not welcoming. Like the previous poster has mentioned there are alot of other good kabab joints in the area that i would rather go to. ★★★☆☆ Portions are small for what you pay, especially for the most expensive thing on the menu which is what I got... She told me the pieces would be bigger and better than the sultani but it wasn't. Food was dry. The Rice and salad were 'meh'.. We also ordered the 'sandwich', which was hard to eat cause it's just rolled with the same type of naan they give with the order. Too much bread, too little meat... I'd go to this place only if I had to bring a large party but other than that, I'd go to Baamiyan instead.. They made a somewhat effort on decor and for that I give it a 3 Posted on October 21, 2011 |
