★★★★★ 01.06.2018>>>Went to Affy's last night with a group of 8 people to celebrate my father's birthday. We ordered a few racks of ribs, a top sirloin steak, and a few NY steaks. For the kids we ordered the Texas fried chicken sandwich and the chicken tenders meal. The flavour of the food was okay. I have not been here in a while but I remember the food tasting better. My father says the Pickering location has better food. I feel the food was very average for the price. The cocktails were very very good.

★★★★☆ I have had different stakes from here a couple of times. The Restaurant was busy on both occasions. The stakes took about 15-20 minutes, but were pretty good. The size, quality and taste were all very good. My only issue with the place would be the prices. Our bill for 2 people with 2 steaks and a couple of cokes was about $55 - which is a bit pricey. ★☆☆☆☆ This review basis all my Affys experiences together. I'm just going to get to the point, I'm not going back anymore. The food quality is going down, the waiters are not clear with the customers. If you don't have something on the menu then tell us BEFORE we order and not when half of the food is out. I've seen spiders crawling on glasses, and it seems they just want you to order a drink everyone because when I ask for plain water, you can see fuzzy stuff floating around in the glass. At least use a basic filter! At my last visit I ended up spending $140, and you would think the owner lady would be a little nicer, instead of gawking at customers and bring rude. ★★★★★ The greeter lady was definitely on the ruder side. However the food was good, and the waiter was also very good. Going there with kids was a bit of a task since we were told we had to wait for 10 minutes which turned out to be atleast half an hour. ★★☆☆☆ Went to Affy’s tonight, for the first time, for my father’s birthday. We spent almost $250, and we won’t be back, for several reasons. The owner’s wife is HORRIBLE. She reprimanded my son, IN FRONT OF ME, without blinking an eye, TWICE. He is not even 4 years old, and he was sitting on the bench, swinging his legs. Even though I was explaining to him that his shoes were making a banging noise (which she could only hear because she seated us near the door/reception area where she sits/stands, and he certainly wasn’t making any noise that other tables could hear, and no damage was being done to the furniture), she still thought it was okay to reprimand a patron’s child. We spoke with her afterwards too, and she was unapologetic and CLUELESS. The food was only passable, certainly not what I would call good. The complimentary tortilla chips tasted bland and a bit stale. Our caesar salads had a BIT of dressing drizzled over them, so they were fairly tasteless. My fajita order came in two parts, a few minutes apart, so while I got the protein on a sizzling platter, the tortillas (4 of them that looked like they had been nuked together into one sticky mess) and garnishes came some minutes later. The calamari looked like onion rings, not calamari. The steaks were just okay, and all were cooked to the same level, even though some were ordered medium rare and others well done. The baked potato was lukewarm, not steaming hot. The mango sauce for the chicken was more like mango pulp. I could go on and on. The waiter who served us was fine, he could tell I was unhappy, and he tried to smooth things over the best he could. Oh, and the owner’s wife seated us, a party of 10 (although initially we were 9) at a table that was designed for 6 to eat comfortably. Suffice it to say we were SOOO DISAPPOINTED. ★★☆☆☆ Never liked the Pickering location, too many cut corners and very average. Tried Mississauga,Good attempt but average if anything: Again no halal restaurant can make a really good steak. Had the loaded burger, was bland! Penne Alfredo (kids meal) was good, chicken fingers (kids meal) was good! ★☆☆☆☆ Went to this place yesterday and i must say the food is very expensive 1 top sirlion steak = 21$ + service + tax, and it is the worst dead tasteless steak i have ever eaten, it was dry, literally no taste at all i asked for some extra gravy and it was tasteless too, we were 10 people and went there after reading reviews about the steak and non of us liked it, it was waste of whopping 360$, and when i complained i was slapped with an answer that well done steaks are like this i should have ordered RARE, i said RARE or MEDIUM RARE have blood in it and which MUSLIM in his right mind will do that knowing blood is haram and the server chuckled and said ooh lot of muslims do that, very rude. My note to all of the reviews who said it really taste good, i think either they have eaten stake for the first time and have no clue how it should taste or they have eaten even worst than this. I will advise that at all cost stay away from this restaurant because of the worst food / expensive and rude staff. Also they buy their chicken from AL-AMEEN POULTRY and for beef i was told that they have their own person who slaughter the animal and were unable to provide any certificate for HALAL authenticity. Overall its a place to have a great time with amazing food and courteous service. We've been careful to visit it a little before dinner time to have our meal peacefully and its been best for us every time. My kids enjoy their food with drinks and cookies. ★★★☆☆ Been there twice. I am not sure y people are complaining about customer service. I have great service and majority of the food is as good as Pickering location. However, do not order steak from this location. We order a steak and the sauce was so bad the it wrecked a well cooked steak. When you order a 30$ meal, you expect it to be good every time. Me and my friend both order steak and were disappointed. Everything else was very good. So if you want steak go to Pickering location. We left right after seeing the greeters attitude. Worst person to keep at the door. For the amount they charge for their mediocre food, one would expect at least some decent service. ★★☆☆☆ The food is good, but places like Sapore are better. The customer service is really lacking. When we arrived the place was busy, so they told us the wait was 45 minutes. So my husband and our friends went to go pray at the local masjid. Within 5 minutes of them leaving, they said our table was ready. When I asked them about the discrepency, the hostess said they exaggerate the time on purpose. When we were seated, it took several minutes for someone to take our order. Our food came in a reasonable time frame, but our server hardly came back to check on us or check on our drinks. And when we would make a request, we never got it. ★★★★☆ Salaam. Been to Affy's in Miss. 2x now, and have to say, food is EXCELLENT. Quality is also, EXCELLENT. Went with 5-6 other people, so sampled the filet mignon, roast beef sandwich, 1/2lb burger, back ribs, NY strip loin, and the chicken burger---everything was great. Ill say the ribs @ kara mia are better (but they are AMAZING there so hard to compare). If i had never tried kara mia's ribs id prolly say Affy's were the best i had. ★★☆☆☆ I would like to commend the ambiance, but in regards of the quality of food and service, I would say they have a lot of work to do. I have been to the restaurant twice and both times the food took very long to be prepared and the quality was definitely not there. Considering that the pricing is close to places like the Keg, I would not recommend this place at the moment. If the owners or management staff is reading this, please improve before you lose a great opportunity to be a success story. I have been to the Ajax location, and my experience was much better there. ★★★☆☆ Have been to the Pickering Affy's location and the service/food seems to be the same. Despite the fact that it's a fairly new restaurant it was buzzing on a Friday evening with almost no place to sit, even despite the fact that we had made reservations prior to visiting. When we told the hostess that we had reservations, she quickly snapped at us and said that she had already seen us and would get back to us when she was available. I understand she may have been busy but her tone of voice was unacceptable. The location is almost half the size of the original but despite that service is extremely slow. Took us almost 45 minutes to get our food and even when you're done and you ask for the bill it takes so long to get it and pay for it unless you go to the front counter and ask to pay the bill. Food is ok. I wouldn't say its sensational but I wouldn't say that its absolutely awful. It's still a lot better than a lot of places in the Mississauaga area that have these kinds of food. All in all if you're in a pinch definitely do not visit this restaurant unless you plan on going during the daytime when I'm sure it's not as busy. Posted on April 13, 2013
