Opened May 2012. Indo Chinese Cuisine. Whilst the Chinese have been visiting India for millennia in search of Buddhist teaching, Yang Tai Chow was the first recorded Chinese to migrate to India for better prospects. In 1778 he put down roots in Kolkata, or Calcutta, then the capital of British India, the easiest accessible metropolitan area from China by land. The Chinese community slowly mushroomed into an entire "Chinatown" located around Calcutta. Most of these immigrants were of Hakka orgin. This place still boasts a number of Chinese restaurants specializing in Hakka cuisine and Indian Chinese variants. With the arrival of the Chinese, the Indian culinary world was enriched by a new fangled cuisine that was of foreign origin yet spicy and tasty like theirown food. And new restaurants mushroomed all over the city, and legends started offering newer dishes with fancier combinations and with exotic names like August Moon Rolls and Fiery Dragon Chicken. Clearly the ingredients are what distinguish 'Indian' Chinese from real Chinese food. While the cooking methods remain the same, what goes in is quite different. Besides the use of locally available vegetables and meats, it's the use of condiments like garam masalas (a selection of hand pounded or whole spices), corn flour for thickening and coating, Chinese Seasoning, an overdose of chili, garlic and ginger, and generous portions of soy sauce to top it all off that gives 'Indian' Chinese food that special robust and spicy flavor. The now famous Indian Chinese Cuisine that has grabbed the culinary fancy across India is actually an adaptation of Chinese seasoning and cooking techniques to Indian tastes. At Wangs Kitchen our experienced Chef from Kolkata who are third generation migrants has recreated this magic of Indianized Chinese cuisine at its original best, treating you to a banquet of delights, featuring the gastronomic cultures of India & China. Savor a tantalizing range of cuisine in vibrant surroundings. Aesthetically done interiors, warm & cordial staff, soft music, all will set you in the right mood to appreciate a delectable meal at Wangs Kitchen. In order to cater to this concept cuisine globally, Wangs has stretched its wings to the countries like USA,Canada, UAE apart from the strong presence in India. ★★★★☆ The food was very delicious. There was only one minor setback, less salt in one of the dish, which was replaced very fast. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends. Posted on April 8, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ The place was populated so some folks must like the food. I am not one of them.
The wait staff was all southern Indian. I met the cook who was Chinese. The menu seemed a strange fusion of Indian and Szechuan.
Hot and Spicy chicken soup was spiced with gobs of black pepper and way too salty. We did not finish it.
Szechuan Shredded Lamb consisted of fat and gristle swimming in pepper infused oil. It was so vile that neither my wife not I more than tasted it. I can’t remember the last time I ordered anything at a restaurant and did not eat any of it.
The Stir Fried Garlic Vegetables was edible but way too oily. The garlic consisted of whole cloves thrown in.
Be warned. Posted on January 26, 2014 |

★★★★☆ MashAllah nice food and the owners are very nice. We tried almost everything on the menu and everything was good just to stress that veggies sauteed well for fried rice..
I wish the quality standards do not go down with time :) Posted on September 25, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ I was really excited to have a hakka chinese restaurant.
I've had several things on their menu. The rice and hakka noodles are great.
But as for their gravy dishes, such as the manchurian ones or the other ones, they all taste the same with slight modifications. I feel like I can taste the MSG and the rest is a slight tweak in a spice or two.
I loved this place the first time. The second time I liked it a little less. The third time even less. Then, the fourth time they redeemed themselves by bringing out a nice plate for iftar.
Great: Chicken corn soup, hot and sour soup, fried rice, noodle dishes.
Not so great: Ordering too many wet-gravy dishes in one order since they all taste the same.
Will I go back? Probably. It's a great place for groups. Posted on September 18, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Pretty neat selection of Indo-Chinese fare. There's a neon halal sign hanging on the window, and it is also mentioned on the menu. We had the chicken lollipop, chili chicken, manchurian beef, and the hot and sour soup. Service is fast and friendly and the place is well maintained and clean. I recommend. ★★★★★ Finally a true Indo-Chinese restaurant by a known Muslim owner. I used to love the Indian-style Chinese food in Hyderabad. I think Wang's Kitchen is a popular chain in south India. Excellent food. Clean and well maintained.
We tried the following:
Chicken Lollypop: Like chicken wings desi-style
Phuket Fish - Deep fried fish with spices. But it is not oily as you might expect.
Chicken Manchurian - We tried the gravy version. Little spicy, but excellent combination of Chinese and Indian spices.
Fried Ice Cream for Desert - Yes Fried! Amazing warm shell with a cold ice cream. Put the whole thing in your mouth and savor the warm/cold taste. Simply amazing. Kids loved it. Posted on December 16, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ To be honest wasn't that great. Had Nasi Goreng, Kwai Teow, and fried chilli chicken all of which were pretty average. Nonetheless happy that there are halal options and thank them for the service. Posted on December 16, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Ambiance was ok. Service was fantastic. Place was really busy for a Thursday night with lots of Muslim families
American Chopsuey was not really chopsuey since they used papad instead of real noodles. Dish Had no salt at all.
Chicken sizzler came in a sizzling dish but it was not sizzling. Had too much salt.
Corn soup was desi style but too thin and waaayyyy too much salt.
Don't think will go there again. Was utterly disappointed with the food Posted on October 7, 2012 |

★★★★★ Awesome would be the word I would use to describe our experience at Wangs kitchen restaurant. Indian style Chinese food is served here.
Ambiance: Fairly decent, nothing over the top, very clean decor, inviting atmosphere.
Service: Once the order was placed, the food arrived fairly quickly even though the restaurant was full and there were people waiting to gets table.
Presentation: Close attention was paid by the staff to presentation and it showed.
Food: Mouth watering, however was disappointed with portion size, could increase the portion size.
Manchow soup - for desi Chinese food lovers this is a must and it was very well prepared.
Beef Manchurian: was too spicy for my taste, but nevertheless my wife enjoyed it.
Chicken Chili: Excellent...that's it.
American Chopsuey: I believe this is the only restaurant that serves this dish and let me tell you I was not disappointed.
Staff: Eager to help, loved our waiter Jamal Mohammad, great service.
Owner was around to answer questions and was very helpful. Posted on September 2, 2012 |

★★★★☆ "Hakka" (Indian) style chinese food is served here. Ordered some take-out recently and it was pretty good. We tried the singapore noodles (soft stringy noodles) with chicken, Chicken Springrolls (egg rolls), Szechwan Beef and rice. Everything tasted pretty good. Prices are a little on the high side, but reasonable. Will have to come back and try some of the other dishes (there is a lot to choose from). Happy to have Hakka style chinese food in the Bay Area finally! Posted on June 23, 2012 |

★★★★★ Good Chinese food catered to Desi taste buds. The spicy dishes on the menu are really spicy. The place is a little pricey compared to Darda. However if you crave Desi style Halal Chinese food then Wangs is the place. We ordered "Hot and Sour soup", sizzling beef, sweet and sour prawns and other dishes. Staff was friendly and wager to please. You can even get Mango Lassy here.. which is quite rare at a Chinese restaurant. Posted on June 10, 2012 |
