★★★★☆ probably one of the best shawarmas in London, Ontario.

★★★☆☆ I have had shawarma a couple of time at Barakat but sadly they were very average for the price they charge...
I would say that the restaurant is okay, if you do not have any other options available, else I will skip this one...
Just another shawarma place .... Posted on July 12, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Great place for shawerma's and great value for money if you are getting a plate. I don't think anyone makes their plates bigger or tastier. Love the red cabbage mix in their shawerma. Kababs are good as well. Also like the new renovations. You can even order online now on emealstogo.com. Service at times can be chaotic but overall great place. Posted on August 23, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Heard really good reviews so decided to go. I have been there once - the food is good. I do think however, other Middle Eastern recipes are better in taste. Posted on May 2, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ NOT a very pleasent attitude, food is not so special as has been recommended by this site or word of mouth, would give 2.4 out of 5. Also a trick to rip off, always ask the customer in the busy lunch time that the shish tawook is going to take 15 minutes to prepare but if the customer cannot wait, should not charge the full amount, rip off! ★★★★☆ Not really cheap eats, Barakat is certainly tasty. In a city with several thousand Muslims, some whose families have lived there for almost a century and have has had few "halal" restaurants (remember "Falafals Restaurant" in the late 70's, early 80's. Went out of business after the addition of alcohol and belly dancers),the appearance of Barakat is a real delight. It is one of the few Muslim run restaurants that have not, to date, had to pander to the tastes of non-Muslims by serving alcohol. If Barakat continues to run on the strength of it's very good Lebanese menue and not go the way of other restaurants in serving alcohol, it should have a long and delicious future, Inshallah.
