★☆☆☆☆ Before starting this review I want everyone to know that I opened a yelp account and a zabiha.com account JUST so I can review this poor excuse of a restaurant. I regret to say that we've had two experiences with this particular Crown Fried Chicken. The first was over a month ago and my husband and I were in Lawrence and hungry. We looked at halal restaurants in the area and happen to find this on the list of halal approved establishments. Let me just say that I have NEVER EVER EVERRRR had such horrible service ANYWHERE (and we love to eat out)!!! The person at front (an obvious pakistani brother) was so unwelcoming and rude. Almost as if it was a burden on him to take our order. He didn't even greet us when walked in (a simple 'hello' would have sufficed). We were left standing there for a good 10 minutes before he walked out from the back to take our order. Ugh! I'm getting irritated by just reliving the memory! The rest of the (hispanic) employees, although in the back cooking, were decent and smiled. We ate our food and left. Just today, we were back in Lawrence, this time with our son and my mother. My mother told me that she was hungry and as much as I hated the idea of going back into this horrible restaurant, I suggested we get food there as we were right across the street at a local barber shop. Oh. My. God! It was worse than the first time! My husband had to walk out because he got so angry! My mother went up to order and again with the rudeness and reluctance to take her order (this time there was two pakistani brothers upfront). As if she wasn't paying them for it! When she got the order in she forgot to add something and went up again to PURCHASE the food item and was received with "you just ordered and now you want to order more!? Ok fine what is it?"... Seriously!?!?!? Who the hell does that to a paying customer? Seriously!?!?!? I'm still in shock! I don't know if maybe they forgot this was America and not their female hating country but this is completely unacceptable on sooo many levels. I love going to the Crown Fried Chicken in Lowell but since they're owned by the same people I'm officially boycotting them and spreading the word! Never again! Posted on September 5, 2015

NR I think they fry their halal and haram stuff together in the same frier which makes the food "najis". Better to call them ahead. Posted on January 12, 2015

★★★★★ Owner was very nice , he confirmed that every thing is halal, however there are no signs about hallal any where. Which is understanding where the store is located, I WAS THERE for half hour and the place was extremly busy. THE PHILLY steaks were the best. burgers were OK. Chicken sandwich was very good. NR Stumbled up this place driving around, stopped and enjoyed Chicken & rice platters. They have subs, wings, fried chicken type of menu. Very clean inside! Met a nice brother Khalid and his son who told us where the masjids are and other good halal places to eat. Food was good and prices very reasonable. Posted on December 5, 2010

★★★★★ Alright I live in Southern New Hampshire, was lookin for Halal Fast food for a while and came across Crown Fried Chicken, and let me tell i was kid with candy. Great service, OWners are awesome, Great and Good Food. inexpensive. Better then going to McDonalds and Burger king for fish. (hehe). Now i can have Chicken and Beef burger's. yayayya.. ★★★★☆ Nice fried chicken and not pricey at all. The owner, I think he is the owner, is a very nice man from Pakistan. They do accept credit cards (although this page says cash only). The only problem is the neighborhood. If you've been to Lawrence, you'll know what I mean. I would avoid going there during night time especially with family. Posted on August 8, 2010
