★★★☆☆ AOA, I went there on refferal of one of my friend having hi expectations all the way from grand rapids..just to eat the food. As compared to 2 medeterranean restaurants in Grand Rapids, this has nothing special that can attract me again. Food was fresh but nearly tasteless on majority of dishes ( I am sorry..dont want to be harsh). The atmosphere & seating is also inferior. Again, i always try to look for new places to eat. But this will not be in that list as i can get better food in my own city then why to go for inferior taste...Only positive is that its Halal. Posted on November 29, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ The only good thing is that they are open late. I am not big fan of Mediterranean food to begin with and this place did not help any further. Shawarmas (both chicken and beef) were very dry and bland. Sheesh kabob were also not tender and bland. Posted on July 7, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Food is excellent but not all their food is halal. The chicken tenders are not halal as well as their burger. Ask the owner before ordering. Their chicken sharwarma is one of the best that I have eaten; in my opinion, it's better than the restaurants from the eastern side of the state such as Al-Amir, Cedarland etc. Hummus is fresh. Coriander chicken is very good as well. The gallaya might be a tad on the salty side but it's good. At times food is inconsistent, for e.g, the dal soup. They use chicken stock in the dal and it taste great but out of the blues, they will switch to beef stock and it won't be the same. Not sure, if I am the only one who can taste the difference.
Prices are very affordable. Good family sit down restaurant. Restroom are clean. Friendly staff.
Definitely 2 thumbs up. I just wish the owner would specify the halal vs non halal item. Posted on June 11, 2005 |
