NR Overpriced and overrated. My parents had gone there with some friends a couple of months ago, and they literally had to pay $8 for 1 and I repeat 1 strawberry. That's just completely stupid Posted on August 11, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Mix grill is phenominal. Friendly staff. Appetizers are acceptable Posted on December 4, 2012 |

★★★★★ We tried the Iskendar Kebab platter at lunch time, both of us shared one since we were not super hungry but were going to a meeting that would last a few hours. Anyway, the place was nice and clean, the owner/manager?? woman at the front was nice. The food. Wow, seriously good. I hope I get the chance to go back and try other menu items. ★★★★★ Expensiiiive!!!! The owner/chef Jim treats you like family, but you will end up with a bill of around $266! The food.. your brain will ask you are we in heaven? I have gone everywhere in America, gone to many many international places with different cuisines, but I will reccommend this restraunt with utmost confidence and dare say this was the best meal in my life. The location is hard to find because, its half way protuding into a parking lot. I also love the Baklaava!!Truly Awesome!!! Posted on December 30, 2011 |

★★★★★ The food was amazing!!! the service was good. Looks like its owned by a family. Price was reasonable for what I got. I would go back again. They got a good grill going!!! Posted on March 4, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ Horrible service... i came in before during the summer and came today after Jummah prayers. I walked in expecting to be seated by a wait staff but nothing. No menu or wait staff so I decided to walk out after sitting a couple of minutes at a table right there. A customer had to remind them that they had customer waiting. I would think twice about coming to this restaurant. Posted on November 12, 2010 |

NR They obviously serve alcohol. This should be an issue more important than halal! Posted on October 24, 2010 |

★★★★☆ The menu has some foods that are not Turkish, so Turkish options are slightly limited if you want lots of choices. However, the Turkish options that are served are very good. Borek, Iskender kebap, manti (kind of like very small ravioli) and baklava are my favorites here. Sometimes the waitstaff does not pay attention if they are very busy, but the family that operates the restaurant is very friendly. Posted on January 17, 2010 |

★★★★☆ This is the first time I have been to Houston and since my hotel is very close to restaurant I thought I should give this a try. The restaurant was hard to find since it was a bit into the Street Norfolk. Once I found it the restaurant was clean and I like the decor. Service was slow but alot of people were there. Ordered the Sauteed Sajuk and Lamb Chops. The Sajuk was ok but the lamb chops were excellent. If I ever come back to Houston I will definitely come back to the Turquois Grill Posted on December 9, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ Wasn't all that great compared to other Middle Eastern restaurants in Houston. Expected more variety of Turkish and Middle Eastern foods but it seemed to have more variety of Italian and other. Service was slow. Restaurant was nice and clean though. Not sure they are halal. Nothing special. Posted on May 22, 2009 |

★★★★★ Good food, fun part of town, nice Muslim family run business, and just around the corner from main center. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet meal out for two. Try the adana kabob. Posted on December 14, 2008 |

★★★★★ turkish food with a bit of american dishes mixed in. very friendly owner, he allowed our 2 kids to make their own pizza's behind the counter, they loved it. most things are zabihah, he will tell you what's not. i've enjoyed the donnar kabab as well as the turkish sausage pizza. the place is semi fast food, semi sit down, clean and good place to go with family. ★★★★★ First, I am not Muslim, but I have employees who are. For company functions, I try to have food that everyone can enjoy. Jim and the Turquoise Grill have proven to be an excellent catering resource. With such an extensive menu, I can select different types of food for each occasion. All the feedback has been positive for both the food and the service. I highly recommend the Turquoise Grill. Posted on March 2, 2007 |

NR I am excited to try the place. But I see from the menu on their website that they sell wine and beer. I see that the owner commented that they serve halal meat. So is the ham and bacon on the menu halal too? It'd be good to know before I go. Posted on August 27, 2006 |

★★★★★ Outstanding. The host is so kind and generous, they stayed open an hour later for us and made food just to our liking. A nice classy restaurant in a nice part of town with the nicest owners in Houston. You MUST go here. Posted on June 7, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ They have ham and bacon on their menu. I don't know if the rest is halal, but be careful. Posted on May 18, 2006 |

NR AleykumSelam: Yes we use halal meats at our restaurant. Thank You, Yilmaz (Jim} Dokuyucu Posted on May 16, 2006 |

★★★★★ Great place to eat, especially if you have kids. The owner/chef Yilmaz "jim"Dokuyueu, is a super nice guy and treats his customers like family. The food is authentic, but most of all delicious. Best of all is when
the kids get the chance to cook thier very own pizza. Posted on May 13, 2006 |
