★★☆☆☆ lunch buffet is garbage. waste of $5 if you ask me. they have like 3 items and if there's anyone in the restaurant other than you, you literally have to wait for them to bring out more and more food because they seem to serve for one at a time. Posted on June 6, 2005 |

★★★★★ Wow reading all the reviews it seems like a lot has changed. I am an everyday customer and go there with my family all the time. The place is a lot different. I agree with some of these reviews, but all the issues they had have now been taken into consideration. yes, this isn't your everyday chinese food. but i promise you, it's definitely THE BEST food in Houston. ★★☆☆☆ used to be good, but ever since its been under new management its been doing crappy. Food isnt good at all! Posted on July 17, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ This is NOT Chinese food, but Chinese-style Pakistani. They even use Basmati rice! The food is served in foam bowls and the rice is separate. The place looks chintzy with cheap decorations. The food is warm and tastes decent, especially if you're hungry. Posted on February 7, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ This restaurant is a big disappointment ! The food is no where near Chinese (if you have ever tasted a real one, you'd know instantly) and the whole restaurant has this perculiar "dirty toilet" smell. Please do not take this as "bad faith review" - I am merely warning others so that they wouldn't have to share my frustration. The owner need to do a major improvement - or, be really honest, and don't call the restaurant a Chinese Restaurant. You are putting a bad name to the exotic Chinese Food. ★☆☆☆☆ Service should be improved. Food has unique taste which cannot be considered as chinese unfortunately ( cannot even consider in any other category). If you are looking for chinese food this will be a disappointment, but for a total desi environment in US, you can try it. Posted on January 14, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ "Everything tastes the same. The soup is so starchy, it's like glue. Sorry excuse for a chinese restaurant." Posted on September 12, 2002 |

★★★★☆ "Chinese food with a Desi twist, that's pretty much how you would describe this place. Recently they remodeled the seating area and everything is pretty clean now. But they also increased the prices by about a dollar per item. The food is spicy even if you mention them to make it medium hot. Do not even think about ordering spicy anything. But generally the food is clean and prepared fresh and the portions are very generous, big enough so that two people can eat out of one order. One inconvinience is that they do not accept credit cards. Next time you go there ask them for mild anything and you will be treated to surprisngly tasty food. " Posted on April 19, 2002 |

★★★★★ The best Halal Pakastani chinese food ever! If you have ever eaten chinese food in Pakistan and wish you could get the same taste then look no further. They will vary the spices to your needs, but I like my food spicy Pakistani style! Posted on November 25, 2001 |

★☆☆☆☆ "This restaurant has a very ""hole in the wall"" cafe type atmosphere. The owners are Pakistani and the food is geared towards the Pakistani taste. It would not be considered Chinese food by anyone not from Pakistan or India. It is attached to a grocery store. The food is too spicy for Chinese food. If you're in the mood for quick and cheap food and aren't too picky. This wouldn't be too bad." Posted on September 14, 2000 |

★★☆☆☆ Good Halal Chinese food. Some entrees are very spicy since they are made to cater Pakistani customers. Posted on June 30, 2000 |
