★★★★★ This place cooks one of the most tasty and authentic Iranian grills (charcoal grilled, btw)!
My absolute fav Iranian flavor in Houston. However, it is based on a self-service system and the place is not the fanciest (not bad though) Posted on August 27, 2015 |
★★★★☆ Food is pretty good but some items are ridiculously priced. Why pay $3+ for a small serving of yogurt? :- Posted on May 21, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Quality food at reasonable prices. We tried the beef kabob, grilled cornish hen, noodles and beef seekh kabob. Very busy place and speaks for their popularity Posted on January 4, 2014 |
★★★★☆ Decent food! Got combo chicken and beef and really liked it Posted on June 22, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ We visited this area as it seemed like there were a few places to eat here. It looked a bit rundown from outside but was the busiest of the restaurants nearby so thought we'd give it a try. Inside it's very basic and the food was a bit bland for me. We had the lunch special which included chicken kebab and one of the ground beef kebabs with some rice, it was OK but nothing special at all. Posted on May 20, 2013 |
★★★☆☆ Both chicken & beef kebabs are good. Service is also fast & friendly. I do think that they can serve in better quality dishes instead of the cheap polystyrene, especially since the prices are above average. Posted on October 30, 2012 |
★★★☆☆ Had nice kabobs. Bread was very hard to chew.
A local brother suggested not to go for chicken since they don't serve zabiha. Posted on May 13, 2012 |
★★★★★ This place is the best to have delicious chillo keababs but equally worse place to dine-in. Their toilets are very dirty and I mean it. Don't dine-in, take kebabs home to share with your family. Prices are reasonable for portions. Posted on October 9, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I would highly recommend the barg kabob, pretty good ... not too pricey but takes a while to get your food. worth the wait Posted on June 13, 2010 |

★★★★☆ It is good afghan restaurant, I am giving 4 because I have seen better afghan food restaurants than this one in other cities. Afghan is one of my favorite food, they make it above average, but not excellent. So there goes 4 stars. Posted on November 23, 2009 |

★★★★★ They confirmed with me that only the jujeh kabob is not halal but everything is. Posted on October 13, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Didn't like the food here as much. The kabab's weren't well done and when I asked for them to be well done - they did try - but didn't work for me. Nice management though. Posted on August 23, 2009 |

★★★★☆ I love this place, the food is always delicious. I guess I give it four stars because I just wish they would clean it up a little because the atmosphere reminds me of the "street food" back home. I guess that could be good too in a way if you're looking for that. Posted on May 29, 2009 |

★★★★★ It is the best persian restaurant I've ever gone to in Houston. I LOVE #6. It is vary tasty and deliciuos. We come regularly to Houston and it is a must to eat in this restaurant. I used to come for three years now. By the way, we always ask the employee if they still serve Halal Food. The answer is that everything is Halal except #3. I've no clue why it is the only one which is not Halal. The bathroom is clean. The stuff are very nice. I highly recommend it! Posted on January 5, 2009 |

★★★★★ ive been going here since i was a little boy, the food is very good, and we dont have to worry about waiters or waitresses, i love the self service idea that is implemented. Bathrooms are not so clean, but for God sakes, the place is over 20 years old, in the same location, what did they expect. I dont care about the restrooms, I just worry about my food, and the food here is delicious. Posted on December 28, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ it's a very busy place...but with amazing staff hard workers. The food is really nice & the theme of the place is Irani! Posted on November 29, 2008 |

★★★★☆ very casual place, nothing fancy. the food was good, came out quickly, and it's pretty cheap.
it's like a fast food type atmosphere. Posted on January 31, 2006 |

★★★★★ Fresh, Fast, Friendly and Affordable. Posted on November 9, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Chelo Kabab is pretty good. About the same as Bijan's. Atmosphere is very informal and loud. Everything except their chicken with bones is zabiha halal. Posted on June 30, 2005 |
★★★☆☆ Good but slow. Dirty bathroom, and too few. They like to burn the food. What's up with the salad? Posted on April 4, 2005 |
★★★☆☆ i think their chicken nor beef is halal but food is good over all. i used to eat there but 'm little suspicious about the authencity of being halal. Posted on March 7, 2005 |

★★★★★ 4 Years ago, my Iranian's friend introduced me to eat at Darband. As far as I know only the beef and boneless chicken kabob are halal. That's what I've been told.If you wanna eat the Persian kabob which has value for you money..you're on the right place. I always go for the number 6 on the menu. Yummy..yummy.. Yum..Yum.. Posted on October 5, 2004 |

★★★★★ i asked them.. their lamb isn't zabiha but their beef and chicken is.. whatever that's about Posted on August 1, 2004 |

★★★★★ I have been eating there for more than 10 years. The quality is still as good as the first time. and nobody can beat the food for the price. Posted on May 21, 2003 |

★★★★☆ Excellent food for the price. Definately a place where you can take your family to eat a quick bite or even a full meal. Very open to all..management is sensitive to the special needs of niqaabi sisters. Posted on January 16, 2003 |

★★★★☆ A Persian Deli where the portions are still a reminder of the times when the economy was still good. They have basically 4 dishes, six on the menu, two of them just derivatives of the others, but what they lack in quantity or choice they definitely make up in quality and taste. Should be on the list of all lovers of Persian Kabobs. Posted on October 23, 2001 |
