★★★★☆ This is my go-to place for buying halal desserts or treats when I am invited over to a Muslim friend's home for a meal. Be aware that some desserts (such as tiramisu) are not kept out in front; you have to know to ask for them. I personally do not enjoy pastries or nutty desserts, so I do not eat here myself. However, the quality of the desserts is quite good. They also make cakes for special occasions (I think wedding cakes are possible, but maybe not large ones), and there is a sample book with photos available to peruse. The establishment is more of a casual or to-go place; although there are some tables for eating your purchases right away, it's not really dressed up for the ambiance of a special date or meal. ★★★☆☆ Very nice sweets, but way overpriced. The staff was unhelpful is suggesting something interesting to a first-timer, but the speed of service was fast. My mom liked the sweets and so did I, but I know I can get more for my money at other places not specifically Middle Eastern. Posted on March 20, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have been to this place so many times in the past but I have to admit that we rarely go there anymore.
They sell great product, their sweet is one of the best and their pies ( Manakeesh) are also great but....
Their service sucks big time. They take their time to serve you and they are so so so slow. The average wait time for sweet is like 20 minutes on good days and for the pies it depends, from minimum 20 minutes to over an hour if there are other orders ahead of you.
I hope the owner read this , or someone relay it to him as Houston is a big city and most of us spend time driving to his location and the last thing we need is to wait one hour for a Mankousheh. He also needs to hire more help, whatever he has now is not enough. Please respect the customers by not making them wait. Posted on July 1, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ I loved the authentic arabic sweets this cafe had to offer... i will definately come by again.. as i love knafeh and baklava. the customer terrible was horrible though... we as muslims need to greet each other and be kind and warm.. these people did not even utter a word to us, or even ask us if we wanted anything.. they also need to spruce up the inside.. and make it look a bit nicer.. ★★★★★ I love this place, it's cute and cozy and you feel like you're in Lebanon there. The owners, especially Ms. Suzie, are adorable and friendly. The deserts are so delicious. We recently got a Busche de Noel (Yule log) for the holidays and it was not only delicious but the most beautiful and tastefully done log cake I've ever seen...it looked almost real with the way the chocolate coating was applied.
Oh and the prices are great too! Posted on January 14, 2007 |

★★★★★ I love the sweets from Sweet Factory. I especially love the cake they make with the beautiful fruit on top. I brought such a cake to a baby shower at work and three people purchase cakes from the Sweet Factory since then. Posted on April 23, 2005 |

★★★★★ This place is excellent. I was visiting Houston from Atlanta, and I almost missed the flight trying to stop before I left. If you are in Houston you are lucky to have such a good place. Those who are visiting and love sweets, you should stop and have the Lebanese Knefah. Posted on November 30, 2004 |

★★★★★ This family owned bakery is one of the finest in Houston. The Baklva here is comparable in taste to the best available in US i.e., Michigan. Prices are amazingly cheap and owing to the high volume and steady clientele pastry and Baklva is always fresh. If you like middle eastern sweets you cannot go to a better place than this.
