★★★★☆ Typical Pakistani / Indian grocery shop. Located next to Marhaba Grill restraunt. The meat section of the store is run by the ex-owner of Najma's Grocery and Halal meat. Posted on January 17, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ "This establishment is now under new management and is renamed ""Al-Huda"" with a grocery store next to it. Food is still of inconsistent quality and I had one of the worst Biryani that I have ever tasted at this location. But then their Qorma was wonderful. It is like they randomly pick ingredients and have no recipe to make a particular dish. I remember that they used to make pretty decent Biryani but now it's like a gamble you may get good or bad depending upon who/how was the food made. I am generally not willing to take such chances." ★★★☆☆ This is a new restaurant which I had a chance to visit during their grand opening celebrations in September. They had put out a one page add in the community papers with an impressive menu. But when we got there on a weekend all they had was just 4 dishes from a menu of about 26!!. The food was OK though. I guess they are still going through the initial phase and should be given some time to settle down. Their Tikka and Qorma was good but Biryani tasted like it was at least 3 days old. I hope that they improve their quality in the future because it is located very close to the Adel mosque where a large number of Muslims gather weekly. Posted on October 4, 2000 |
