★★★★☆ Used to love this place but because of COVID it has unfortunately closed. Posted on April 20, 2021 |

★★☆☆☆ Their food is average. Their attitude is the worst in all the desi restaurants especially the male owner. This is the only buffet which charges for Naans. Over the years the more their business has grown the smaller their hearts have become. In next couple of years they will be down to charging for the air you breathe in their resturant. The dinner buffet is $12.99 but doesn't nearly have half the dishes you would accept in a buffet of that price. Add the naan and you are looking at $16 per person. They will stop the dish refills during buffet so people can eat less and get the heck out quickly. If I am paying I want to enjoy my food not chase and beg for food. Never going back there....I have had enough with them. Posted on November 8, 2015 |

★★★★★ Stopped by a few days ago while heading back up to NY from FL. This place was a pleasant surprise.
Me and my friend had the buffet and arrived about 30 minutes before closing. They were nice enough to refill the trays.
After reading the recent reviews I was a bit hesitant but the food was all amazing. I had initially thought that since we were arriving so late in the day we were only get leftovers but wow!
BBQ Chicken and Goat Karahi was the Bomb...sad to see the bar but made the best of it! Posted on September 29, 2015 |

★★★★★ One of the best Pakistani buffets, love their grilled chicken, and most other foods. The weekend buffet is also yummy with halva puri. Most weekends will have it partially booked for small gatherings and the food is consistently good. Posted on September 8, 2014 |

★★★★★ great customer service the owner is so nice he make sure customer is happy .Such a clean restaurant. There tandoori chicken and goat biryani is the best . Posted on September 4, 2013 |

★★★★☆ We came here at night for the buffet, and Alhamdulilah, it was very good. The price is reasonable and the buffet had a sizeable and delicious variety. I'm giving it 4 stars because their desserts were way too sweet and we had to throw it away. Posted on June 2, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Worst experience ever, owner is a lady, she was very rude to customers and employees, took 45 minutes to get chicken kabob order right after bringing wrong order to the table, then when it finally arrived, there were no sides which took another 10 mins, by that time I was done with my food and by the way it didn't taste good at all. I will never ever recommend it to anyone. Posted on April 4, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Nice location and nice restaurant setup inside as well. Very over priced for a desi buffet restaurant at $11.99/person. This price does not include drinks which is another $1.99.
Food quality totally depends on what you are used to eating at home when it comes to desi food. I personally didn't like it too much, I think I can do a better job any given day than their chef.
The waiters don't often swing by to see if you have run out of the naan. You would have to time your consumption and call them over to ask for more so you don't sit around waiting for it when you run out.
The only thing commendable is the rice pudding (kheer). Very good! Overall I will give it a 2.5 out of 5. Posted on June 8, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ The buffet food was old. When I asked them about it, they said yes it has been sitting a while. It took them an hour to get more rice which was no more fresh than what they replaced.
I don't understand why people who are muslims don't know anything about running a good business. RICE is cheap as dirt people. A $10 bag of basmati rice probably last severeal days but they lost our $40 - $50 I spend there on average. Posted on June 5, 2011 |

★★★★★ The resturant is beautiful and i love the food. They have great service and a amazing variety of food. The waitress was very kind and listened to me ramble on about nothing and she never acted like she didn't care unlike a lot of resturants i have been too. The staff was very clean and profesional and the manager was more then happy to talk to me and share her own storys. The price for the buffet was amazing because there was such a wide variety of food aviable to you. The Naan was plentiful and the Mango Lussi was to die for. I will most deffiently recomend this resurant to any of my friends. Posted on December 19, 2010 |

★★★★☆ We went to this restaurant because it was very close to the hotel we were staying at. Because of the unexpected snow fall, we were told that we were only the 2nd customers of the day which meant food was aplenty, fresh and hot. Buffet included a very nice verity of items including 3 kinds of chicken (tikka, qorma and jalfarezi), beef kabab (mini chappli kababs) and perhaps one other meat dish. There were a number of vege items too including potato bhujia, saag and a couple of other ones I don't recall. Nan were delicious, fresh, puffy and crispy. Brought out regularly and in handsome amounts. There was also a section on dahi-balla, channa chaat etc and a mix of chutnees. Sweet included kheer (quite thick and subtly sweet, which is the way I prefer it) and small cakes of carrot halwa well-made. The decor was nice and unusual for a Pakistani restaurant (in a good way). Restrooms were very clean and fortunately, away from the kitchen which is where you normally find them in desi joints in places like NYC and Chicago. One of the owners or main chefs, came out with a cordless phone and continued to chat with someone fairly loudly throughout our meal, perhaps thinking that we couldn't understand Urdu (as we look Arab to many people). It would've been nice if private conversations over the phone were conducted privately. Other than that, our experience was very good and we enjoyed the food. One warning, though: the food is very spicy and even though I thoroughly enjoyed it, my kids were left with just the rice and bread as everything else was too hot for them. ★★★☆☆ Average food. I didn't feel very excited about any of the dishes we ordered. The tandoori chicken was OK. There are a few other places in the area that serve better tasting food. Posted on November 9, 2010 |

★★★★★ Beautiful restaurant with excellent food. Loved the mixture of indian and Pakistani cuisine in a purely Halal and healthy concept. The owner and staff were very friendly and alway there.
This is by far the best Pakistani/Indian restaurant in Richmond. Posted on August 31, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ I'll start with the positives: the decor was nice, and it's in the West End, so it's convenient for a lot of people. Otherwise, the food is low class and oily. The rice was actually oily, which I wasn't expecting, and the chicken kabab was uncooked and raw in places. The service was boring and the mango lassi tasted more like milk than mango or lassi (isn't it a "yogurt" drink?). Worst of all, the beef seekh kababs seemed store bought and premade... is that even possible in a desi restaurant? If true, it's an embarrassment. The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is because of the decor and the location. If you want convenience, go here, if you want real food, go somewhere else, end of story. ★★☆☆☆ Assalam O Alaikum brothers and sisters. I went to have lunch at this restaurant. I had my family with me. This restaurant has a nice decor but the female server there was not behaving appropriately for a Muslim restaurant. I am not going to take my family there again. Posted on March 7, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Disappointed with food, as my friends took me to NY one weekend and i like the restaurants over there. They do not charge you Gratuity!!! Posted on January 30, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ Average food from an average restaurant. I am a huge food fanatic and coming from a place like California, where there are amazing Pakistani restaurants, I'm pretty disappointed. The food tasted like every other ordinary desi place and I really wish my experience could have been better. Posted on January 28, 2010 |

★★★★★ The food is amazing! Very authentic pakistani food. Loved the tandoori items. The shrimp entrees are delicious! I really enjoyed how everything is made right on order. Waitresses are very polite and considerate. The prices are more than reasonable. The evironment is exactly that of fine dining, very professional. I will defintly recommend this restaurant to everybody. Posted on January 20, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ I went there to eat with some friends for the lunch buffet. The food was okay, and the staff seemed to be hard of hearing because I had to repeat my drink order 4 times in a row before he understood what I wanted. The selection on the buffet was nice, but it lacked a taste overall that seemed to be given up for a more diverse selection. The naan was good. Overall the food deserves 3 stars, but I am giving it 2. My main gripe was that they added GRATUITY to EACH individual check without telling us. Had we ordered off the menu and had there been more than 6 of us (we were 3 people), it would have made sense, but this seems like a cheap way to exploit money from customers, very very unethical. I was going to leave a tip anyways but a halal restaurant should not lie to customers like that. The food could be better but it wasn't bad, I will not be returning as I can get better food and service at Kabab Grille or Curry House. Posted on December 26, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went on Zabihah to check the reviews of Kabab Bistro and was very please and eager to try it. I read about the spicy and flavorful food and after I ate there, it was everything but. I was very disappointed. The food was fine but nothing special. I thought that there would be another Pakistani restaurant I would be going to regularly and enjoying, but I guess not. ★★★★★ Great Tasting REAL PAKISTANI food at reasonable prices.
Chicken Tikka taste great. I ordered just few items, food was so delicious and professionally cooked that i could not resist my self going again. Staff treat everyone with respect.
restaurant is lean looking and sitting looks like fine dining. "Not the Cab. style. unbalance tables and chairs." But surprisingly prices are so low. I suggest everyone to visit this restaurant and enjoy great food Finally in Richmond. Posted on December 25, 2009 |
