★★★★☆ Chicken Biryani. Yes, we catered chicken biryani for a family dinner. Very delicious and fresh. Our order was ready for pick up on time. Posted on December 8, 2019 |

|
★★★★☆ Everytime we have ordered, they do not disappoint! I love their delivery service its worth the minimum delivery. The owner is Muslim. Posted on November 17, 2018 |

★★★★★ One of the oldest halal place in the area. Try their lunch buffet Posted on December 12, 2016 |
|
|
★★★★☆ fan of their fresh tandoori chicken!! Posted on December 11, 2015 |

|
★★★★☆ Nice family owned restaurant. Mostly empty when I have been there. Their goat karahi and naan taste really good. Large portions, too. Posted on December 31, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food was terrible. No taste at all. Too expensive. The food even taste 15 days old (I recommend you not to get their salad) it gave me sickness. Posted on April 2, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I ordered chicken biryani which was special of the day for $9. I got half a plate of rice with 3 bones, absolutely no meat. I had to get a muffin from Dunkin Donuts next door to complete my dinner. Posted on March 13, 2013 |

★★★★★ I chose this restaurant because when I called and asked whether the food was halal, the employee responded with "Alhamdullilah, yes." We ate here twice during our stay (once for a lunch buffet and the second was a dinner meal). I'm Turkish and do not eat Desi food often, but I have to admit that I loved everything I ate. My wife is Pakistani and she could not get enough of the buffet food and requested that we eat there more often - the only reason we couldn't was because we spent a majority of our time in D.C.
The employee we spoke with while there was hospitable and while we were eating, we even saw her allow some other customers taste a sample from the buffet. She spoke with us and was very nice.
I would absolutely return to this place the next time I'm in D.C. Posted on December 28, 2012 |

★★★★★ 5 of us walked into this Cozy place, it was packed and Dave said lets go somewhere else, they seemed busy. We helped ourselves to be seated, few minutes later a friendly face with welcoming smile walked up to us, helped us with Menu, we ordered Nihari, Chicken Karahi, Goat Biryani, Seekh Kabaabs, Mango Lassi and palak Gosht etc. To our Surprise, the food served in less than 20 minutes, all fresh and Steamy. Well served with mint Yogurt and garden salad. We enjoyed that nicely spiced Seekh Kabaabs, awesome Mango Lassi, heavenly Biryani and other stuff.
Serving time was great, they didn't make us make longer, service was wonderful. Food was delicious and the prices were reasonable.
We will be back for sure. Posted on November 20, 2011 |

★★★★★ Excellent food and clean facility. Enjoyed Nihari the most! Posted on November 5, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ The food is sometimes good and sometimes bad. The menu has changed countless times since it was created (they've even had chinese food and fried chicken for some time).
If you're in the area, it's worth a try. I'm not really into it, though. Posted on October 22, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Excellent mazedar desi food. We were party of 8 tried almost all desi and arabi dishes. Posted on June 1, 2011 |

|
★☆☆☆☆ Owner/manager treated advertisement in Consumer's Eye magazine like it was a coupon and said only one per table. It was not a coupon. He was being disingenuous. Food was not hot and was not of very good quality - over cooked and too salty. I and my friends will not be returning. Posted on February 21, 2011 |

★★★★★ excellent food and excellent customer service. prices are also very reasonable.

★★★★★ Silver Spoon is a fantastic restaurant. I can guarantee anyone who eats there that they will have an enjoyable, satisfying experience. The ambience and environment is delightful, the owner is very friendly and polite, and the food is superb. I highly recommend this as a place to eat for everybody. Definitely an A ! Even if you aren't in the area, go for it it will be well worth your trip. Posted on January 20, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I chose this restaurant because it was open late and served zabihah meat. The nihari and saag gosht were tasty, and a little bit too oily for me. Also, I like salad made with romaine lettuce more than the iceberg lettuce salad that was provided. The soup was also tasty with lots of vegetables and many substantial cubes of meat. Gajar halwa was tasty as well, garnished with nuts. The meat samosas had a fresh tasting delicious beefy filling. The rice was made with saffron - costliest spice on the Earth. The owner and staff were honest, polite, and helpful; the tables were clean; the service was quick. Posted on June 9, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ We have been to SS few times. Each time we ordered from menu all the entrees and desserts were very delicious with generous serving and reasonably priced. We don’t like their buffet as the quality of food is very poor and no authentic taste with some homemade concoctions and stale food. Persian menu is delicious but pricy. Customer service of owner and the staff has been exceptional to us. All in all great Pakistani tasting food from menu, excellent customer service, plenty of seating and decent parking. ★★★☆☆ I enjoy the simplicity of this place. If you need to fill the tank up and keep your wallet happy then this a great option. The buffet food is decent and the staff has always been nice. Posted on August 1, 2008 |

★★★★☆ I like Silver Spoon, especially their Goat Karahi. Posted on February 8, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I've been there a few times for the buffet. Sometimes it was good, sometimes not so good. The food wasn't always fresh, and they seem to use an excessive amount of fat & oil in the food. Lots of meat & chicken on the buffet. They'll bring fresh bread out to you upon request. Not much for salad/fresh vegetables/fruits. Staff are friendly. Posted on December 31, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I took my family multiple times, food is good, only thing I would stay away from are the gyros, owner is nice and prices are reasonable. Posted on November 15, 2007 |

NR Food is decent. Owner is nice and told us where he gets the meat from without hesitation. He said we could talk to the sources if we wanted to feel comfortable. Recently I have become more aware of the issues surrounding halal meat sources. I am specific when I ask and every now and then I will investigate for peace of mind. I used to think it was distrusting to do so, especially if my Muslim brother has confirmed their meat is zabihah. Now, however, as a consumer spending my hard-earned buck, I believe it's my right to ask questions and feel comfortable with what I am purchasing. Insha'allah, everyone can benefit from the vigilance of a few.
That being said, the responses we received from their chicken source made us uncomfortable. I am not against "machine cut" as long as it follows zabihah procedure, but it did not seem like they have a human say Allah's name on every chicken before zabihahing it. I could be mistaken, but the source was not easily forthcoming and made me nervous. This was last year and maybe things have changed. I do not believe the owner is malicious or anything. Just that he probably never thought to investigate. We were actually researching for a wedding and wanted to make sure of our meat sources out of respect for certain strict families who were attending. I always thought it was just hot air, maulvis trying to make living in America diffult, you know, that sort of thing. But ever since this experience I have become more careful. Allah knows best. ★★★★☆ The establishment is a little run down. The owner is very friendly. When I took my family, their air conditioning was kaput. That was painful as it was 85 degrees. Nevertheless, the food was served promptly and it was definitely above average. The best was their tandoori chicken. Naan were hot, food was also served hot. Price was okay. $60 for a feast for 4 adults. Nihari was okay but I have yet to taste good nihari any where outside of chicago. Posted on July 8, 2007 |

★★★★★ this restruant is phenomanal i love the food. The chicken kabob is very good highley recomended. The owner is very nice and the restraunt is very clean. i really enjoy the food. I go back there at least everyother week Posted on July 4, 2007 |

|
★★★★☆ The owner is extremely friendly. I like to eat here, however there is some inconsistency. On some days the food comes out delicious. On some days it tastes mediocre. My hunch is that there is one bad cook in the kitchen. I never voiced my opinion, but maybe I should to help this establishment out. My advice is to come here when Khalid (the owner) is working to make sure your food comes out tasty. Posted on June 15, 2007 |

★★★★★ Service went beyond my expectations. I love the varieties of food like Indian korma, Middle Eastern kabobs and hummus, and Good ol' fried chicken and wings). They're lassies are phenomenal. I could eat here everyday! Posted on November 11, 2006 |

★★★★★ Nice combination of Middle Eastern and Desi Restaurant, very good food, nice portioning, Kabobs are awesome, love that Mango Lasi, Green Chatni is great and spicy, Naans are good and hot when served. Service is wonderful, Owner himself came by manytimes to ask, if we need anything else, That was a plus. I wasn't able to check and taste everything they have on the menue, I would surely go back and test & taste other things, nice clean and cozy place. love it and highly recommend to others. ★★★☆☆ I have been visting this place since it opened and the food is excellent. Kabob's are exceptionally good. My problem is with the owner. He talks a lot and stands over the table when we eat. He should also quit saying jokes. Posted on September 3, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Then menu is quite extensive and the restaurant clean, but could do well with better ambience. As for the food it was quite good, well prepared and spicy! Definitely worth the visit. The mango lassi was more yogurt than mango, but the kubideh was excellent. Posted on May 12, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Love the kubideh and boneless kebob. Friendly staff and portions are plentiful. Posted on December 21, 2004 |

★★★★★ Wow I LOVE Silver Spoon! Love all the food, Chicken and Lamb Khari are cooked to perfection, portions are not as big as other desi reastruants, but enough for one serving. The prices of their servings are reasonable then all other reastruants.
The place is newly built and MEGA clean. Owner Mr.Khalid is so friendly to his customers, locals call him
Mr.Nice. Good place for family gatherings. Posted on October 20, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Food is good, especially the kubideh kabobs and nehari. Not too spicy and portions are enough. Posted on October 19, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ This place used to be good when it first opened but is now inconsistent. Chapli kabobs are thin and hard, chicken fingers are fine, kubideh just okay, butter chicken is okay, portions are not much..they do not give much. Owner is a very nice and friendly man. He must bring another chef or else he will have to close the place. Posted on October 5, 2004 |
