★☆☆☆☆ Read the reviews and went here.. the lady at the front desk asked me whether it was take out, I said 'No' and she kinda was disappointed.. this was Saturday 2:30 pm.. I asked her if the restaurant was open.. she said 'Yes' ..so we ordered food.. for some reason she was extremely rude.. we ordered 2 chicken cheesesteak ..i was told it would take 15 mins and I will have to pick it up from the front desk ....arnd 18-20 mins passed by before the food arrived and to be honest the way it was presented....with the stale bread, to big onions not cut as well as huge tomatoes with sparse chicken + iceburg lettuce on top of it...it was horrible..May Allah forgive me..its food but there should be some professionalism here as it comes with a $$$....Anyways I overlooked that and resigned with a Assalam Alaikum which I feel was either not understood or overlooked..sadly with better choices around will never go back here...the customer service left a lot to be desired.. ★★★☆☆ The lamb gyro was better than most halal gyros I've had. Also, this is the first halal restaurant I've been to that has good fries (actually french fries, not big hunks of potato). The chicken gyro looks good although I didn't taste it. Posted on May 7, 2011 |

★★★★★ I went here for lunch and loved it. It was assured that all meat is Halal and Zabihah, and they also had halal signs. I had the large Gyros meal. The Gyros sandwich was very tasty and cooked well. It came with fries (which tasted good) and a drink. The service was really good as the staff was very friendly and hospitable. The place has a decent amount of seating and was neat and clean. Prices are not too bad either. I really enjoyed this place and look forward in returning. Posted on December 11, 2010 |

NR We recently called Cafe Gyro in Newark by chandni restaurant and asked them where they get their meat and chicken from. They told us Omaha. Omaha puts a Halal lable on the packages but according to our local scholars, Imam tahir and Mufi Abdullah Nanna, Omaha's products are not in according to Islamic Zabihah criteria. The owner is a very cooperative Muslim brother and he said that he’ll take the proper steps, Insha Allah. Posted on March 25, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I have been going here for awhile. The gyros are good. The Philly cheesesteak is okay- but they out the sliced cheese which doesn't usually melt all the way which I don't like! They are usually open til 9pm on weeknights but they shut down their fryers at 8:30pm so if you can't get any fries after that. Limited seating inside. Posted on November 12, 2009 |

★★★★★ This place is excellent. I have tried nearly everything on the menu and each item was fresh and very tasty. The portions are very generous. I've been going here for over a year. I recommend this place over cafe gyros and california gyros in hayward. Posted on March 23, 2009 |
