★★★★★ For those who were doubting their halal status, it is clearly written on the cover page of their menu that they serve only halal meat.
We had chicken roll, chicken 65, and puri - all were pretty good. The staff was very well behaved, the location is a good one. We are definitely going back. Posted on March 22, 2014
★★★ Owners are non-muslim. Claim to serve halal meat but have my doubts. Their south indian veg dishes however are good. Have tried the Mysore Masala Dosa and Chana Bhatura. Both very good. Avoid any meat/chicken dishes and you should be fine :-) Posted on April 30, 2009
★★★ i have been eating here for several years. I think they changed ownership many times in the last 3 years. i dont think that they are halal any longer. they have pictures of hindu gods on the walls. Food isnt that great any longer either. you should double check before going Posted on February 12, 2009
★ BEWARE OF HALAL STATUS
I was told by the staff that they take their meat supply from a shop in Fremont. I verified and it turned out that they did not take any meat from them in the past 2 years. I would therefore conclude that they made false statement after seeing my muslim appearance. Posted on January 5, 2008
★★★★★ Tabla is a nice and cozy restaurant in foster city. The restaurant is clean and the waitors are very attentive. Restrooms are clean. They serve a variety of North and South Indian dishes. I had tandoori and chicken biryani, it was pretty good. I'm definitely recommending this restaurant to everyone for lunch and dinner. Posted on May 7, 2007
