★★★★★ Scrumptious Middle Eastern restaurant in Dearborn. Probably my favorite (or top two--up there with Cedarland) in terms of quality of food. The portions are gi-normous and you will almost certainly have leftovers. Don't come here if you expect great service, as the service is pretty bad as in most of the restaurants in Dearborn. I have pretty much tried all of their grilled items (shish tawook, shawarma, beef, lamb) both individually and as part of their big platters. What I think sets Ajami apart from many of the other good restaurants along Warren Ave is that the interior is new and clean.
Definitely try this place out if you're in the area. Posted on March 1, 2013 |

★★★★★ Wow. Food was amazing. Quantity was excellent and the taste was incredible. The stuffed lamb was out of this world. I loved the food and the atmosphere was also great. Very clean and well run restaurant.I wish they would have something like this in Houston Posted on October 9, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible service. Came here from out of town during Ramadan. The greeter told us to sit and we waited. The staff was busy setting up tables for private Iftar event. The waiter came to us and told us to hurry an order because they had a private event. I was shocked that a restaurant would say that. Why would you waste out time in first place if you don't care about our business. The waiter should be fired for rude service and cold attitude. I will never back there, over priced place. I'm glad we walked out. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely. Posted on July 11, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely over priced food with very average taste. Plus they force the customers to pay minimum of 15% tip for very mediocre service. I will never go back there. Posted on January 20, 2014 |

★★★★★ Wow. Food was amazing. Quantity was excellent and the taste was incredible. Price was very reasonable. Shawarma and kababs were well seasoned and properly cooked. The stuffed lamb was out of this world. Went back a week later just to eat it. Both my wife and I loved the food and the atmosphere was also great. Very clean and well run restaurant. ★★☆☆☆ We went here b/c we had a larger group and heard it was one of the best. It was the exact opposite. The food did not seem fresh at all besides the bread. The combo platter that we ordered seemed to have been reheated and still cold and hard. It seemed like they had warmed leftovers and there was no taste. I couldn't even bite some of the pieces b/c that's how hard and dry they were. It was a waste of time and money. I think people go there for the bread and environment since more people can fit-but that's about it. My family and I were disappointed. Posted on January 23, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Visit this restaurant every time I go to Detroit.Very unfortunate incident on last vist. Ordered 3 Chicken soup got lentil soup. Vegetables never came . nan came after soup was finished. Had ordered ground beef kabob but got shish kabob . Did not touch the meal because that was not what i odered.Waitress very rude. Manager shows up after 15 minutes , gave him my credit card and told him to charge his halal rizk . remember we on had 3 soups and he charged us $35.00 . Decide for yourself Posted on July 9, 2010 |

★★★★★ This place was great. We really enjoy the food and they give you so much. Although the portions have been cut back, you still get so much food for the same price. If I could only go to one place for dinner, this is the place I would choose. Note- their smoking and non-smoking sections are joint so basically it's all smoking, if that bothers you. ★★★★★ This is probably the best arabic restaurant I've been to so far. They have authentic middle eastern dishes. There is plenty of choice and we haven't found anything that does not taste 'excellent'. We have tried their shawarmas, kababs, koftas, tawook, etc and everything is fresh and tasty. The freshly baked bread is out of this world. So if you're in mood for excellent excellent arabic food, this is the place to go! Posted on June 4, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Great resturant, their Burger Deluxe is out of this world. However the funny thing is they serve whole vegatables as appetizers before the food arrives, this always makes me laugh when i go there. Im a regular customer there. Posted on September 9, 2006 |

★★★★★ Al-Ajami was rated as Best Mid Eastern restaurant 2003 by the Detroit Free Press. I decided to go there for lunch. I took along my coworkers. We were all very satisfied by the taste, quantity, presentation, atmosphere and service of this facility. Their prices are a few bucks more than the other restaurants around them, but they are well worth it. Chicken, Beef shawarma and the fish with tomatoe sauce were very delicious. Complimentary fresh baked bread, veggies tray and pickles tray are standard. Posted on February 27, 2004 |
