★★★★★ Great Mediterranean food, but they seem to have gotten rid of some Afghan items they used to have. Chicken shwarma is not the way it typically tastes, which is great for me since I don't usually like chicken shwarma, but definitely recommend it here for something different. ★★★★☆ Good food. Good service. As authentic as any place in Fremont. Posted on September 22, 2017 |

★★★★☆ Best Afghan restaurant in the area!! They need to give a little more bread but they always bring more if you ask for it. A little pricy compared to other Afghan restaurants but there food is also better than other Afghan restaurants!! Posted on January 15, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Very expensive food - decent Afghan food - I still love going to Fremont for my favorite Afghan cuisine. Posted on July 7, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Good service and atmosphere. Food is prepared for the (Goras) American taste and not for Desi (India-Pak) crowd. They say they are halal but then serving alcohol on site makes meat same as everywhere. Small portions and expensive. 6/30/08 Posted on July 2, 2008 |

★★★★★ I have dinned at Aryana ever since they have opened. I go there at least 3 times a month with my whole family. Every single time i have been there we get amazing food with excellent service. I have been going there for a little over a year and the food has always been persistent. About a couple of th comments below, about the mantoo and the yogurt, I'm afghan and when we make mantoo it has to be more onions then meat or else it doesn't taste the same, the Mantoo is actually one of my fav. dishes at Aryana. Also i think when you said that the yogurt was bad was because it was sour? Its home-made yogurt. When we make yogurt at home we try to make it as sour as possible, it just tastes better to us. But there are somethings people will like and others they wont. But to me the food is more then excellent. Posted on November 28, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ This was my weirdest experience in a restaurant. First, we wait for the food more than 40 minutes. I ordered Mantoo & lamb shank. The mantoo was more than 90% filled with onions ($13 plate), I told the lady who served us this is mostly onnions & the menu did not indicate that also we ordered Bolani that came with yogurt that was bad. She said, this is the authentic way to do it. I explained that I ate in multiple Afghani restaurants before, she said that this the way it should be & that it seems just that WE DON'T LIKE THEIR RESTAURANT!! I told her about the yogurt, she said this is the best yogurt that I would ever taste in my life!! Anyway, story short, we are never going back!!! Posted on October 28, 2007 |

★★★★☆ Aryana is located in the exact location in the strip mall where the former Chutney's restaurant used to be (corner of Camino Tassajara and Crow Canyon). In fact, if you look closely, you can see the imprint of the "Chutney's" sticker still on the window. Went here for lunch the other day. Food was better than I expected. They have a lunch special which includes one kabab, rice, bread and salad for under $10. Lunch portions are average and food was surprisingly very tasty. Try the Chapli kabab. The Bolani was also very fresh and crispy. Aryana is a nice, comparable departure from the well-frequented Afghan restaurants of Fremont. Next time I'm in the area during lunch, I will seriously consider going to Aryana's again. Posted on September 6, 2007 |

★★★★★ The name is now "Aryana". Had the Tikka Kabob. It was very high quality, had very little fat and was well marinated. Cusine is from North Afghanistan per the menu. While they do now serve Alcohol environment is family friendly. Regarding the comment below about even the wine being halal made by one of the persons there, it is certainly not something to joke about. However having been there twice this month, I observed some of the staff such as one of the cooks was Hispanic wearing the Cross. While that is fine, he and others like him may take things more lightly in this area. The Afghan family that runs the place is very nice and hospitable. Posted on January 14, 2007 |
