★★★☆☆ Food taste is average. Koeksisters were good. Service is ver slow. We waited almost an hour and it wasn’t even busy. Posted on June 15, 2019 |

★★★★☆ Wembley has a variety of good food, their double hot-dog with whopper sauce, masala steak sandwiches, tandoori chicken, and don't talk bout their bombay crush, a must have! Its a hot spot over the weekends, so u do have to wait a bit or like the others said phone in. Posted on July 16, 2011 |

NR Not the cheapest, healthiest, fastest take-out place but if compared to many other Halaal take-away's in the city this one is far superior. Especially the quality of ingredients and flavor. If you're prepared to wait for both the meal and to be served you shouldn't be too disappointed...if you have little patience then rather phone with your order and collect. Posted on May 28, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ the roadhouse: service is extremely bad and food overpriced. there is no queuing system if you do decide to brave the crowd at the window. the person who shouts the loudest gets his order taken. it is often just best to phone your order from the car ... provided you can get through on the phone. yes, i love wembley ... great food, and its been around forever so theres lots of great memories. W tend to update and add stuff to the menu. also, the place to hang out with your spruced up honda! Posted on May 27, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Bad food and terrible service. Firstly, instead if being greeted by a friendly employee, a racist remark was directed at me for no reason. The staff apparently enjoyed this sick humour. Secondly, the food was terrible and extremely overpriced. Go there if you want to be insulted and have an overall bad time. I would not recommend this place. Posted on January 26, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ Wembley Roadhouse is an institution that Capetonians are particularly proud of. Considering how the world has changed though, it is a great pity that this take-out has failed to keep up with the times. The food is extremely unhealthy. The premesis are less than hygenic. There are so much better take-out options available to Capetonians now. Visit if you want spicy burgers and fries - that leave an oily residue and heartburn for days. Posted on June 5, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I must say I like the Wembley Roadhouse. Unique indeed. This is problably the last drivein restaurant in the world. A bit like a 1950's driveing. A server comes to your car and gives you a menue. The menue is incredible. The menue has a vast array of Indian/Cape Malay foods. I like the Wembley Wopper. You place your order and it comes to your car within minutes. Next to Roadhouse is the Wembley meat market. Halal meat stores in Canada could learn a lot from this place. The place is very clean (no dirt on the floors or flys lingering near the meat). The service is very good and the meat is of high quality.
The down side, if there is a down side, are the beggers. Not a problem, though. Give them a rand and they'll walk away. Posted on January 1, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ The Wembley food emporium offers a wide variety of Mughli style and south Indian variations as well as traditional Cape Malay foods. That is to say it has both Indian and Javanese influences. It is popular with the Athlone takeaway set but for more fastidious diners who prefer better than deep fried pokharas and other permutations of the same, samoosas and salomis stacked with potatoes then this place will be a disappointment. Prices are not cheap for the ordinariness of the meals available. The staff are friendly and helpful but loiterers and "gathangers" in the carpark adds nothing to the experience. ★★★★★ The roadhouse has a large variety of food ranging from regular burgers and fries to traditional Indian and Cape Malay dishes. The Wembley Whopper is in a class of it's own! Posted on October 31, 2004 |

★★★★★ We often shop at Wembley Meat Market - service and meat products are pretty good.
Wembley Bakey is next door to Wembley Meat Market. Once again, good service and their cakes and bread are always fresh.
Wembley Markette is next door to the bakery and the groceries are pretty much what you would find in any regular store. They do, however, also stock cold meats from the Meat Market. Fruit and veg are always fresh. Posted on October 31, 2004 |
