★★★★★ Best shawarma in Boston. Reasonably priced and easy access to public transportation! Ask for Spicy if u would like Posted on March 13, 2019 |
|
|
★★☆☆☆ Went to this place first time with a company of family who had been regular at this place. We came across with least bothered and least courteous staff. Being pakistani i always look for certain spice but food here was totally bland. All of us including some of family members who had been regular to this place years ago did not like the food. Both food and service needs an improvement. Posted on September 19, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ No issues with the staff or the store personnel. Definitely didn't like the food. Went there with my family (8 people). Everyone did not really enjoy the food. Shawarma was loaded with garlic sauce. The chicken shawarma was very tasteless... Posted on August 6, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ I am a regular at this place given there are not many options in Boston . This is a decent place with good food the owners are Muslims and its a full halal menu . Could be busy at times so make sure you make them understand how you like your food if you have special requests . It is one of the best Mediterranean food place in Boston . ★☆☆☆☆ First time I went, the owner came across as a bit discourteous and unaccommodating; the food was bland and nothing special, which was disappointing given the excellent rating here. I thought it might have been a one off event so I went again next time, expecting something better. I tried to explain to the owner that I wanted my shawarma a little more spicy/flavory and he appeared least bothered in response. After I paid, I requested the free drink advertised with the chicken shawarma. Apparently I missed the fine print stating cash only and so I was barred from it despite having ordered not one but three shawarma. In response, the owner was rude and made a remark about paying attention. Finally, the nail in the coffin, when I got home and got to the eating, the food tasted nasty and overloaded with garlic. Apparently that's what he made out me telling them to not give me a bland shawarma. Posted on May 5, 2014 |

★★★★★ Excellent ! Definitely a must try if you are in Boston and craving shwarma; the staff is very nice and allow you to sample their specials, all of which were delicious including lemon chicken; i also had their jallab which was a nice rose water, date and raisin drink; one of the better shwarma places i have been to in the Northeast Posted on February 17, 2014 |

★★★★★ We've visited this place many times. Love the chicken Shawarma! so yummy and so filling. Usually we ask them to make it a little spicey w/ a kick vs the original flavor. Definitely get their special 'date drink'! Thats the burgandy color drink that comes with cut almonds. So super yummy.
Owners are muslims, the place is close to student housing and is super busy all the time, visited by muslims and non muslims alike. We prefer dining in and eating the freshly made shawarma when it is still warm & toasty. Posted on January 24, 2014 |

★★★★☆ good place taste too many mulsims eating there, owned by Lebanese guys, Posted on July 21, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ If you want to eat Mediterranean food this is a nice place. There shawfarm a is good Posted on July 28, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Positive: The Shawarma is very well wrapped with the pita toasted to perfection. Great reviews on Zabihah.com as well.
Negative: Meat quality is sub par and food taste cannot compare with places in New Jersey, New York, or Virginia.
Overall: If you are really craving meat and/or shawarma then give it a go. Otherwise I’d look somewhere else. Posted on July 28, 2012 |

★★★★★ Came here with a friend I ordered chicken, he ordered lamb. They were both about the same price, $14 I think..
I really liked it, it tasted good and the price was understandable for the quality. I would recommend this place, service was good as well. Our order took about 10 minutes. However the deserts didn't look too great but I didn't actually taste any. Soo yeah check it out Posted on May 25, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Plastic found in a shawerma wrap.
I was going there for two years now. The food is average, but I was thinking this is the best available Halal restaurant in Boston. Today, I went there with my pregnant wife. We found a plastic in her shawerma wrap. We don't know if we had eaten some. I talked to the manager and he replied that he's "sorry, it might came from the bread's bag," I was shocked, Is that all?. I paid the full bill before I tell him. He took the money and we didn't eat even half of our wraps till we found the plastic. Now, I need to find another alternative.
Before this incident, I would give them three stars because of the average food and the place's hardly noticeable smell. The normal staff are very nice and helpful. Posted on May 8, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ The food is okay.. Bland shawarma , dinner plate is way expensive , few rows of seats . Posted on September 19, 2011 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ They said everything is halal.
I'm sure that they're doing something right and that's why they've been in business for 20 years.
But they did not impress me at all.
The food was average, too tart (lemony), portions very small, but edible.
It was obvious that they were *trying* to be nice.
I may go back just to support a Muslim business, but the food & service aren't that great. Posted on September 17, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Food here is worth the trip. I know some brs. travel to NYC just for the sandwiches.
They did this really unique toasting thing that i just cant say no to. Posted on September 20, 2010 |

★★★★★ Owner was nice to customers. I ordered Shwarma that cost $7 each tasty. Posted on August 6, 2010 |

★★★★★ Food was very fresh and had a lot of flavor. One of my favorite middle eastern restaurant in the US Posted on May 22, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ My family has been going here for years and today was my last time. The owner was very rude when I was ordering and showed no respect to me whatsoever as a woman. I brought my entire family including my husband, kids and husbands parents and my Father in Law who heard him being rude to me refused to even eat the food. It's too bad cause we did like the food but definitely not the service. Posted on January 31, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Always great food. My favorite has to be Kafta kabob, and Garlic Chicken sandwich. I also like their daily special meals though not the salad -- I'm not a salad guy. Highly recommend. Posted on August 29, 2009 |
|
|
★★★★☆ We are a couple that usually shares a combo plate and one of their drinks. Both the lemonade with rose water and other red drink with almond slivers are delicious. We have never tried the desserts there... we're always stuffed after the combo plate.
I would warn against the lentil soup though. We tried it once; it tasted really bland and was too thick. Posted on July 9, 2009 |

|
★★★★☆ Food tasted good specially Humus and Falafel. Serving size above average. Service very fast. Staff to the point and firm. Prices are high. Posted on July 5, 2009 |

★★★★★ very nice food, the owner is a very nice man, they usually explain to you every thing about what is special for today, the best ever rest. in all boston, easy to reach by all the mean of transportation, the shawerma is nice but not excellant, but the daily dishes are perfect ,fresh, and home made taste Posted on August 11, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I was here a week ago, the owner was actually really nice, explained to me the daily specials and said to take my time for the order.
Unfortunately, the food wasnt as great as I had hoped, the chicken for the shawarma was quite dry. Lets just say I have had better shawarma elsewhere. Posted on August 2, 2008 |
|
|
★★☆☆☆ 1. Owner wasn't friendly at all - he was very serious and did not make us feel welcome at all by rushing our order and doing little to explain to us anything.
2. My beef shawarma was cooked well, but it was overly loaded with spices - as if they poured a box all over it, making the end result overwhelming. Posted on July 30, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★★ I love the food here. My wife and I usually share a combo meal and there is enough food in one plate for both of us. I especially like the plate which has a good selection of all kebabs (chicken, kofta, lamb shawarma) in one plate. I recommend this place to everyone. However, the place could be bigger as the seating is not enough. Posted on March 2, 2008 |

|
★★★★☆ Muslim owners...very nice/friendly people. Not the cheapest food. Sandwiches are much better than the combos. The shawarma are thick slices instead of thin. Posted on May 22, 2007 |

★★★★★ it's great Posted on May 21, 2007 |

★★★★★ Excellent food, great prices, convenient location, always very busy (can be hard to find a table), very casual dining (plastic chairs). I highly recommend the combo kabob plate. I am not as impressed with their shawarma sandwiches though. They usually have very friendly staff. Posted on March 3, 2007 |

NR Beef lamb shawarma is outstanding at Shawarma King, and the other items that I have tried have been consistentlt excellent. They raised the price of the shawarma wrap to 5 dollars last year but still very reasonable. The owner also verbally verified that the meat was zabiha, and I have no reason to question it. Consistently high quality food makes Shawarma King a popular favorite restaurant in Boston. Posted on February 28, 2007 |

★★★★★ This place is great. The food is fast, and the service is very friendly. I also wish they had one in my town. I plan on going there every day on the rest of my trip to Boston. I Wish I had tried it sooner! Posted on September 12, 2006 |

★★★★★ This place serves the tastiest shwarma in the Boston area! I have taken (out of towner) friends there for meals, and complain about their local shwarma now! Great food, friendly service, two thumbs up! Posted on December 4, 2003 |

★★★★☆ Clean, tasty, moderately priced. A good alternative to Boston Shawarma. A popular place for halal-conscious Boston Muslims, as well as Brookline-area college students. Posted on October 26, 2002 |

★★★★☆ Great food! Especially the Kafta Arayees and the cocktail Juice. Give it a try and you will become a regular. Posted on April 26, 2002 |

★★★★☆ A great place to pick up Middle Eastern sandwiches (hummus, baba ghannoush, shawarma) or to sit and enjoy a more substantial plate with shawarma or kebab and Middle Eastern salad and other side dishes. Good value for your money; but, minimalist cafe style seating area. Posted on June 30, 2000 |
