★★★★★ LOVE THIS SPOT. Seriously. Food is fantastic and everything has so much flavor it makes your head rush with excitement!
Warning: as you progress up the levels, it gets VERY spicy just be aware of your choice.
Every time I've been there the place is PACKED and it takes a while but trust me it's worth it. If I lived closer, I would be going every week.
Best part is that all the meat is halal! Sadly, 8/24/19 was the last day. They are no closed permanently :( Posted on August 25, 2019 |

★★★★☆ I tried the Chicken Laksa today. But first lets get this halal ordeal out of the way in light of the previous comments.
The owners are Muslim and the meat is halal. There is no pork on the
menu. Let's not forget that pizza parlors serve pork and usually do not separate the oils. Yes this place serves alcohol but they state this openly, and BTW this is America and the majority of their customers are probably not Muslim.
Now that we got that out of the way, the Laksa was average. Please don't base your judgement on this one item because their menu is huge. Anyways the broth was great but the noodles were cheap and the meat was tough and chewy. Also they did not serve the best part: the garnishes (cilantro, lime, basil, chile, etc). I would probably go back to this place to try other items. Posted on July 23, 2015 |

NR I have the same experience as DHG68 last week. When we ask the waiters only says we dont sell pork. It looks the owner never tell to the employee how to answer for halal question and the halal statement only from the staff not the owner.
So unless the Owner give a statement for the halalness, Im not recommended to be halal restaurant.
Halal doesn't mean no pork, it has to be properly slaughter in Muslim way. Posted on August 23, 2013 |
Agreed. We will investigate. |

★★★★★ I did not see any pork on the menu. I enjoyed this meal. I do not think it is our duty to question whether someone's food is halal or not. If a Muslim tells me it's halal, I eat. Come on people would the Prophet (saws) have gone to a Muslims house to eat and questioned over and over whether the meat was slaughtered halal and then ask for proofs and then in the end doubt them? Give me a break. Almost every restaurant listed in zabihah has reviews questioning the "halalness" of a restaurant. I think it's unfair to these businesses who are providing a great service to us. NR Look again at the menu. There is at least one pork item for sale. Also, when my wife asked the waiter whether the food was halal, his "yes" response didn't seem very convincing. We decided not to eat here. Posted on September 12, 2007 |

★★★★☆ Food was tasty and portions were good; staff was nice; food was reasonably priced.
Words of caution: they do serve wine and beer (as of the date of this review); also, the initial waitress I had didn't understand me when I asked if the food was Halal. The waiter who took over after that nodded his head 'yes' when I asked him, but I never heard a verbal confirmation. No pork on the menu though (al-hamdu lillah). Posted on June 23, 2007 |
