HALAL SUMMARY
The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status.
★☆☆☆☆ My wife ordered take out from this establishment. They packaged the take out so poorly that the contents of the order (chicken biryani, chicken kabobs, and the curries) spilled all over my car. As I was cleaning up this mess, i noticed nothing was properly packaged. Everything was wrapped in aluminum foil instead of plastic food containers with covers that snap closed. Now please note we ordered $50 worth of food. I think we should get some customer service right?
After I tried my best to clean this mess; I called Sonha. The manager Casey defended this poor example of quality control by saying "your wife probably was not handling the food correctly." I had to explain traffic laws to him, and he finally admitted "mistakes happen from time to time". At no point did he apologize for his staff, or that we didn't even get to eat dinner.
Anyway he offered to remake the order at no charge, and I rejected it. As I was cleaning up the mess; the curry seemed extra watery, and the smell was kind of bland. Maybe it was a blessing that I didn't have the chance to eat this food.
Anyway Zabihah has a stipulation not to be overly mean; but given the circumstances I think I came across as professional as I could.
Please avoid this restaurant. If there quality control is nonexistent when the food is completed; imagine how it is when food is being prepared/served. Posted on June 19, 2013
