★★★★★ The best halal lamb meat in Austin. I have tried many halal markets, but their meat no good.
The lamb meat is pricey, but good quality. Posted on October 15, 2014 |

★★★★★ By far the best place is Austin for halal groceries. It's run by the same guy for the past 10 years, he's a very honest man. The meat is of the best quality, nothing less. He doesn't cheat his customers. Very respectable man. Definitely recommend this place! Posted on December 27, 2011 |

★★★★☆ this is a nice place to buy desi grocey...but there is an issue of halal meat...as i just came to know...they sell both machine slaughter and hand slaughter chicken.if u just ask chicken they may give u any....so u must specifically ask for hand slaughterd zabiha chicken(they call it as jawaid's chicken).i asked the peson there the meat in the outside feezer was not from jawaid ,u need to ask the man in the cutting area about it.
jazakAllah ...may Allah protect us from evil. Posted on September 12, 2010 |

★★★★★ Very good service now. I regularly buy meat from this place and found the people to be very helpful and efficient.
On the downside - as in every desi store - check the dates on the products that you buy. The common things are refreshed periodically but the once in 6 month type of items should be verified Posted on April 19, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ There is a lot of cross contamination in the meat handling. The same meat cutting utensils are used to cut beef, chicken and goat meat which is a health hazard. I have also noticed that some products are not refrigerated as per instructions on the packaging. The owner seems to be rude when you point out things to him. Posted on December 20, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ Service is ok. The beef is sometimes stale. Since they are too busy nowadays they have come up with some attitude. The owner is a little rude. Posted on January 14, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ I used to patronize their meat store for halal meat but noticed that the meat is often stale, having spent several days in cold room in thawed state. The owner should do something about this as it is a health hazard. Posted on May 31, 2001 |
