★★★★★ I was at this place yesterday. The owner is a very nice guy. Being paki i didnt how arabic sweet dishes taste like excpt for bakhlava but when i went here and asked to sample some of the sweets the guy offered us so many sweets to try. He was very generous. We tried almost All the sweets and they all taste really good. He also gave us discount but still kinda expensive i thnk. He also offered us to have lunch/dinner on him. I might go back soon lol. ★★★★☆ Walked in here expecting to find Indo/Pak style sweets. They carry Middle Eastern sweets. Their cream stuffed pastries and ladies fingers are good. Goes well with tea. Posted on December 25, 2010
★★★★☆ Good variety of mid eastern pastries. But the taste is not what I had wished. I lived in Mideast for many years and no matter what I bought at this store, it just doesnt match up. But again, this place was the closest you could get to.
Lately I just learnt how to make my own baklava! Posted on September 13, 2010
★★★☆☆ It's not as good as it used to be. This was the type of place where if I went to Steinway I had to stop at Laziza to get some baklava. However, as I understand it ownership has changed and they no longer make their baklava fresh on the premises. It's just not the same. Went a few times recently just to make sure I didn't get a bad batch, but sadly it's just not the same. :( Posted on March 3, 2010
