A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant. Everything on the menu is halal except for the Gyro. The menu states this very clearly and the staff assures that they do not cross contaminate the knives used to slice the meat.

★★★☆☆ Went with the family for the first time with LivingSocial pay $12 get $24 deal. We were helped by Rebekah. Overall, we were not too happy with our visit.
We ordered Lamb Kabob and Gyro Plate with Garlic fries for an additional $1. Now Gyro plate is listed as "Not Halal" on their website, but server said it is indeed Halal to our multiple inquires. Why the website doesn't give the correct information then? Also, website is not in-sync with the actual menu in the restaurant so don't fully rely upon the website information.
Yes, they have a full alcohol bar here also but all the eateries are Halal as I was told.
Lamb Kabob was not good at all. It was dry and not tasty. Should be juicy but it was not. Platter came in with a very small quantity of rice. Rice is big and are eaten in a big quantity in Mediterranean culture. Not sure on why such a small portion then? Rice portion certainly needs to be increased.
Gyro plate was OK and much better than the Lamb Kabob. Garlic fries were the best but should be given as an Entree side order without any additional charge!
Prices are expensive based upon the amount of food given. Nothing is less than $13 for a main Entree. I would say that this restaurant is definitely in $$$ category. Good thing we had a deal!
One other major setback for us was the poor ventilation system in the main dining area! What they did is that there is a see through gap between the kitchen and the dining area, probably on purpose so that people can see the different Shawarma (Autodoner) machine and hopefully order it, but smoke because of cooking inside comes from that gap also and fill the entire dining area! Of course restaurant main door is closed and no ventilation system in the main area so the smoke stays for a while. My eyes were all smokey and I had trouble breathing just a few minutes after we sat down! Not sure what were the thinking with this design!
Server and service was good and pleasant. Food was served in nominal time and our request was attended and fulfilled right away. Didn't have any problem with redeeming the coupon either.
Yes, parking can be challenging right in front of the restaurant, but the lot is huge so parking can be easily found little bit further away.
Not too sure if I will come back or not. Posted on September 4, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Veyr friendly and the food is good/okay. I love the place since I live near by, the only complaint is the cost and the alcohol/ bar that is in the restaurant. If the alcohol was not an issue, I'd go more than once. Posted on November 8, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Too friendly owner and staffs. Sometimes can be late with the orders and follow up because they're talking too much. Beef and lamb could be less oily. You can exchange champagne for a soda on Weekend eat all you can brunch. Posted on October 16, 2012 |

★★★★★ I cannot say enough good things about this place. The food is EXCELLENT, and the service is just as good. Their food is so flavorful and fresh, very high quality. Either the father or son Jake is always there and always so hospitable. I go here about every 2 weeks from the Valley and have never had a bad experience. My order is always the chicken shawarma pita with fries and a side of garlic sauce. Fatoush salad is also excellent. My husband is a fan of the Big Jake platter. We used to be obsessed with Gaby's, but the service there was often so unbearable and food not nearly as good. Mezza is at a great location, great ambiance and decor, also very clean. Every person we've introduced to this place has been hooked. Try it once, and you'll also be hooked. Highly highly recommend!!! We love seeing this business thrive! Posted on March 19, 2011 |

★★★★★ Though it's new I have already been to Mezza twice. So convenient that it's right down the street and parking is free after 6 (?) and on the weekends. Food is delicious, decor is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. Customer service is top-notch. There was a problem with my order after it came out and not only were they apologetic, they gave me an entirely new plate, comped dessert, tea and discounted the bill. I don't think I have been to any establishments, halal or non-halal, independent or chain, that would do that. They get 5 stars from me and I am sure I will go again soon. Posted on April 4, 2010 |

★★★★★ This place is a brand new restaurant (it opened up last week) and it is spectacular. Everything here is Zabihah EXCEPT the Gyro plate (as stated on the menu and confirmed by the Staff). The owner and entire staff are extremely friendly, warm and provide top of the line customer service. They frequently check up on you and make you feel welcome. The setting and ambiance are nice as well, as the place is very neat and clean. I had the Beef Sharma sandwich along with the salad and both were delicious. Prices are not too bad and there are many lunch specials. Please support this place !! Posted on March 27, 2010 |
