★☆☆☆☆ Horrible customer service! Will not go back again!
We went to this place for the first time based upon good reviews and were deeply disappointed at the end. Food was below par and I really don't know what the fuss is all about. This is my true and honest review.
Once entered, we were lamely greeted by this dark skin, big guy, who was wearing glasses and shorts. He got to be the manager if not the actual owner based upon his attitude and appearance.
There was nobody at the restaurant beside us. His attitude started to go downwards as soon as my father asked if TV channel can be changed to rather something interesting. His answer with attitude was, "Can't change the channel," and simply walked away. Both, father and I, looked at each other with surprise on how come channel cannot be changed?
Since channel wasn't a big deal we just waited for our food. I have to highlight here that during the time of order, almost half of the menu items were not available because of the unacceptable reason we found out later. Question is why not put a sign at the entrance or something in the menu so customers would know exactly what is available to order and will not have to go through any inconvenience later. I guess laziness was preferred than the convenient of customers.
Even though we were the only one, it took a while for the food to come. It was also interesting how our food was brought in. He brought in curry, but no bread! There were not enough utensils either until I asked. Of course, food was getting cold so I asked for bread politely and yet again, his response with full attitude was, "LA RAHA HOON MEIN! (I am bringing!)" No apology or anything of that sort. Other time when I asked for missing stuff, he would not acknowledge and would simply walk away!
Here comes the best part where we finally found out the reason why half of the menu items were not available. After everything is done, as it was expected, we asked for tea (chai). Shocking answer we got was that it was not available either! I finally had enough of "not available" answer so I asked what is up with everything being not available. His shocking answer was that it was the first day they were opening up after the holiday so that is why they didn't have all the items!
First of all, if the restaurant is open then I am expecting it to be fully functional. It is not my fault that they didn't get their supplies because they are opening up after some holiday. Why would you open then?
Secondly, at least, tea can be made simply by mixing milk, tea powder, and sugar! How hard is it to get this 3 simple items which can be purchased at any near by plenty of South Asian grocery stores? Guy knows that most of the customers will ask for tea at the end since they are from South Asia and it is pretty much a must have at the end, yet still he never bothered to stock this. Again, seems like a pure laziness to me....
At the end, my sister to-go order was messed up even though we repeated more than once. Good thing I asked her to check before we left otherwise it would have been a big disaster opening up at the house specially since we drove from far.
I also noticed that his attitude with his employees was also pretty bad and not good at all specially the way he was talking to them.
Spent more than $100, but not a single thank you and/or appreciation at the end. I asked my family members if they enjoyed and their answer was no and that the guy's attitude was horrible, unfriendly, and extremely unprofessional! Posted on October 4, 2018 |

★★★★★ Hands down one of the best Pakistani restaurants in SoCal! Anyone that doesn't like this place is does not appreciate authentic Pakistani food. The meat is juicy and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice. The mango lassi and tea were on point as well! Prices are a little on the higher side I feel, but not enough to keep me from coming back! Posted on April 8, 2018 |

★★★★★ Today we had experienced Nihari House. Their food was amazing: we tried wings, nihari, karachi bun kabab and it was very delicious! We did order takeaway: chicken tikka etc ( it was awesome too) Posted on December 29, 2017 |

★★★★★ I randomly spotted this while driving by on the overpass and made a mental note to return and try it out, since the wife is a nihari nut. The halal status is clearly advertised, and there were lots of Muslims there when we ate, and the front staff were clearly Muslim. The nihari itself was delicious! I went for the nihari with braaaaains and it was well flavored, medium spicy and very tasty. I will be back to try some of the American food, like the steak. Posted on December 21, 2017 |
