★★★☆☆ I only know of muslims who eat all meats to go here. I have not heard of any local muslims who truly care for Zabihah halal to go and eat here. Just know the environment and be the judge yourself. It is known that this place has 'belly dancers' I would never want to eat from such a place. May Allah guide us all. ameen. ★★☆☆☆ Have had their food many times over span of 2 yrs. owned by nonMuslim Lebanese. Food is very bland. Meat isn't cooked very well. I kept going because they are the only halal meat restaurant in the area outside Pasadena. Lady who staffs the counter usually has a sullen attitude that isn't worth the food. Do not recommend. Owners and staff are not Muslims, which wouldn't bad in and of itself. However, I recommend making the trek to Pasadena for halal Persian food at Haider Baba or even Famous Kebab instead. ★☆☆☆☆ This place is owned by non Muslims. Upon entering I verbally confirmed that all meat was zabihah halal, and I was assured by the owner and the wait staff. Service is real bad here. We waited 15 minutes to get seated despite several workers, including the owner, walking by and seeing us standing there. We tried the lunch buffet, which looked average, but it was basically tasteless Mediterranean food. The chicken kabob was undercooked, the kofta kabob was overcooked, and the vegetarian dishes were watery. For $14.95, the best thing in the buffet was the hummus. I think you know where I am going with this. I don't recommend. Posted on January 14, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Ecellent Food. Service was good. As other reviewers mentioned, there is no more belly dancing and semi nude pictures. I would definitely go there again. Posted on October 25, 2008 |

★★★★★ i had the same impression when i walked into this place. they have belly dancers, they serve alcohol, but their meat is halal. i know it because i found the place where he gets his meat. the company he gets his meat is a whole sale place, they dont touch the meat. meat comes in boxes and they deliver it. we tried their whole lamb as delivery, we have never eat in, but it was excellent. ★★★★☆ As I walked into the place, my first impression was, "Oh oh," as there were pictures of "their" semi nude belly dancers all over the place. Hestitantly, I asked for the owner and asked him where he purchases his meat. He claims that it is from an Irani Muslim Brother, my next question was is it Zabiha and he said Halal ofcourse Sister. Trusting his word (and since we were starving!) we ordered takeout sandwiches and a kebab platter. The rice was great and the chicken salad was too, subhanAllah. But he does sell Alcohol so I don't know if I would go back again and eat meat, but he does have a huge vegetarian selection too. Posted on August 1, 2002 |
