★★★☆☆ This place is average (by our admittedly poor standards for halal markets). Its very stuffy and behind the front desk there was a mess of clothes on the floor. The workers were nice, a convert sister at the cash register and a bangladeshi brother. They argued with each other, quirky but good people. The brother was trying to convert my sister (she's not Muslim)--it was a bit annoying at one point. He can keep you there for an hour talking so when you find an opening-take it and politely leave. I saw a meat cutting machine in the back so I do believe it's halal. Needs a clean-up and more professionalism, but with all the Muslims selling liquor, the least we can do is buy from such down-to-earth people. Posted on June 20, 2008 |
