| ★★★★★ The food at Zaki is excellent, and the family who runs the restaurant is extremely friendly. (I have lived in the Middle East and know how authentic Middle Eastern food tastes!) They have also done a great job cleaning up a property with a long history of being a blight on the neighborhood. They have also really improved their service, which was pretty slow when they first opened. As far as the reviewer who has a friend who claims he saw the owner was buying meat from a non-halal source: May I suggest, in the short run, that, rather than hearsay claims that can neither be confirmed nor denied, concerned Muslims simply call the business in question and ask the owner or manager where they buy their zabihah meat, then call the meat supplier to confirm. In the long run, may I suggest that concerned Muslims organize your community to institute a halal certification agency, similar to those for kosher restaurants? |

| ★★★★ This is a convenient place to grab lunch if you work around here or are visiting. The staples are gyros and rice platters with chicken or lamb. It's wholesome clean food and not expensive at all. Rice platter + drink for 6 bucks currently. They also have hot dogs and bean pies. The guys who run this place are really nice and friendly. During lunch hour sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes. |

| ★★★★★ I highly recommend this halal restaurant. The food was delicious especially the briyani, tandoori chicken and their crispiest deep fried chicken. We ate 3 times during our short stay in shenzhen. The hospitality was great, whereby they accommodated to all our tastebuds request e.g. they allowed when we only wanted 1 stick of lamb satay. Price was reasonable and the restaurant ambience was cosy. |

Both were awesome. Also tried their knockout burger and lamb gyro and enjoyed it. Man, their Chai was also great....I'm a chai specialist myself, and tried some from other restaurants on strip, but theirs was the best. | ★★★★ Please note : Only the Lamb and Chicken are Zabihah (i.e. the beef is not). Went here for lunch and it was great. I had the Chicken Koobideh plate and it was wonderful. They have nice lunch specials that come with a bowl of soup which are at decent prices. The service is superb as the staff is extremely friendly and checks up on you frequently. The setting and ambiance are marvelous as the place has top of the line furniture and has been decorated beautifully. The only drawback is that they serve alcohol. |

| NR Brothers and sisters in Islam, this is very important that any shop or retailer who sells pigs meat withsome Halal products then it's far from reality to say they are halal as cross contamination is likely possible, so be very carefull. |

However, we are going to find another halal store to shop because of the brother, I believe the owner, stays at register and don't even look at your face and no smile. Most of the time he has some friend to chat, so you will be no one there.
I guess, we, Muslims in US, suppose to learn back our good behaviors which had been taught by our bellowed prophet: Turn to the person you are talking, and have a smiley face!

Visiting from California, this was a random pick for me and wife. Unsure about how food would taste, we got in there and unexpected of unexpected happened. The Father (chef) of the owner of the restaurant was standing at the counter, who came 10 days ago from California. Interestingly enough, I have been customer of his father's restaurant in California for past six years. :)
Seeing him made me sure that food will be great! and no doubt it was. We tried Chicken Kabab, beef Kabab, and baklawas.
Location is close to ASU and on Mill ave, so do expect party University atmosphere on the street. |
