
More than 50 years ago Emborg realised that there was a potential for trading in food products with the Arab world. The Emborg brothers took up the challenge, and launched themselves into the pioneering task of satisfying Arab taste buds in demanding climatic conditions at a time when modern cold store facilities were not yet available. Right from the start the Emborg brand was successful. In some Arab towns Bedouins were soon seen riding on their camels asking not for 'hamburgers', but for 'emburgers'!
Nowadays we distribute a full range of refrigerated and frozen goods to the retail trade in more than 100 countries. Emborg Foods has its own retail offices on four continents, helping us to keep our fingers on the pulse of the global taste trends.
Even though we are a natural part of the global market with all its multinational chains, we have never forgotten our roots: partnerships with a whole host of small shops in sparsely populated areas of the globe.
Meeting the requirements of the customer is possible because we operate a highly flexible logistics set-up that permits deliveries of mixed orders of many items. Our retail activities are all conducted under the internationally-known brand nameed 'EMBORG'. This ensures full consumer confidence and that the Retail Division always allocates considerable resources to market support and brand building activities.
