They stare at you if you don't look like them - for that kinda $$$ I'd like to eat in a normal place - not some place that's dynamite central - food was good but way too many cons - slow service - un professional waiters - long wait times and they added someone else's meal to my bill !! Hahahaha
Not to mention the table for 2 stuck to the wall opp the kitchen - feels like ur lined up to be taken out by fanatics and ur having ur last meal |

Nice cosy place, great food. Love the steaks. Peppercorn and bisteca are my favorite. Love their pastas, ceasar salad and the soups. And if you like having desserts after your meal they have decadent cakes.

People are not loving this place just because it a halal Italian place, and there is no other like it. Believe it or not, Italian food is really easy to screw up. I've been here many times, and every single time was fully impressed with my order. The one day I realized that Kara Mia is special is when I saw an Italian family come in to eat. There are a lot of non Muslims that dine here, and there is a reason why, the food is superb. There are only 2 bad things I can say -- the parmesan chicken can sometimes be dry, and their steaks are thin (but reallly, tasty) so if you are into thick pink steaks, not going to happen here, rather you get a well done piece of really yummy grilled beef.
All the pasta and steak dishes are delicious. Baked with mozzarella just adds a new dimension to the dishes. This is 5 star food at a relatively very low cost compared to other Italian eateries. The fettuccine kara mia is the best Alfredo I've ever had. The Caesar salad, calamari and brushcetta are stellar. Had dessert once, it was a chocolate cake with strawberry cream, and it was a really good quality cake. I highly recommend this place to everybody as it is really delicious, and the chef really cares about the food he makes for you. |

Their service at providing food to the venue and serving at the site was impeccable and the meal was delicious. Everyone wanted to know where did the food come from ? They were also very generous as they were one of the sponsors of the charity event. I have since been to their Vaughan location a few times and have always appreciated their service and the meal was beyond delicious. This restaurant made me appreciate STEAK at a whole different level. Their server Leni (I think) was soooooo amazing. She was extremely sweet and served like she actually cared. I have been in the hospitality industry and kno that it's no easy work. Kudos to the chef and the team 4 serving such scrumptious meals. |

The place was packed on last Friday night and we felt great since we had our table reserved.
We tried steak special with Roasted potatoes and my wife tried Penne De la Casa and both the dishes were fantastic.
Service now is better than ever and very hospitable. Two young girls were holding the floor very well. I heard this time that they have opened their Mississauga location on Dixie & Eglington which is great since lot of my friends live in Mississauga and we can dine there with them.
I must say that Kara Mia's managment has kept the standard very well and continue to do so.
Keep it up guys, we are always here to support you!

My first experince with kara Mia was absolutely amazing, the food was good, cozy place ,beautiful art work etc. I really fall in love because of Diana, she is friendly, kind, great at her job and extremely helpful when it came to the menu and suggestions. So reason 1# for me to return is because of Diana, Reason #2 is when i enter the bathroom they hada bottle to cleanse yourself with, this might sound weird but for me this topped the cake and it is b/c im so use to carrying around my ow bottle and no other halal restraunat i been to ever had it. At this point i really fell in love b/c i believe PUTTING ALLAH(SWT) FIRST IS WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS .

I travel quite frequently and have tried many Italian restaurants across North America but Kara Mia is one of the best!
The food, ambience and service, they all complement each other. My favourite is peppercorn steak (try medium well) on a bed of fresh and healthy green vegetables as well as Fettuccini Kara Mia and Penne picante rose baked with Mozzarella cheese.
The best part is their moderate pricing considering it is an Italian eatery and still not compromising with the quality of the food.
I had the opportunity to speak to the owner and applauded him personally.
I think, they have set a good example for other restaurants operated by Muslims in the GTA or elsewhere!
A job well done Kara Mia!

| ★★★★★ This is by far the best Halal Italian dining experience in the GTA. Prepare your taste buds to enjoy every bite of this delicious cuisine. Hats off to the Calamari Fritti, even if you’re a first timer to this deep sea delight, it’ll be an interesting and enjoyable choice for everyone on the table.
The Peppercorn steak and the Veal chop are excellent choices for the meat lover. The side items perfectly compliment the main dish. If you prefer to have a saucy choice, go for the signature Steak Omar by all means. Tender, juicy and simply tasty. We haven’t tired the chicken items, but I’m sure they make it up to the expectations too.
For the junior party, they have a good selection of kiddi items. To top it all off, go with the Truffle Royal, we have no words to express for this mouth watering dessert. Trust me, somehow, It will make room for itself.
On the whole, the taste is excellent, the presentation is international standard, cleanliness is great and the service is top notch giving you an amazing dining experience, and of course, ample of parking space. Highly recommended to all communities for any occasion.

The food is delicious and elgantly prepared (not what you come to expect from most muslim restaurants) and the service is excellent. Since my wife and I (and our kids) came at the end of the night last week, we got even more personalized service and got a chance to converse with the whole staff (Chef Abdul, Diana, Mohammad and everyone else).
I have only two suggestions:
1) Open a Kara Mia in Montreal!!!!
2) Add a few new dishes every so often to the menu; after you've been there a few times it starts getting a bit limited (although everything is delicious)

I would certainly continue recommending this Restaurant well worth the drive ... Chef Abdurrehman and Staff Kudos to you guys !!! It was our wedding anniversary so we thought to go somewhere nice - a/ The food was excellent we both ordered the "Steak Omer" .. Medium Well-done topped with tiger shrimps and sauteed/steamed veggies - it was tender and delicious - the sauce, texture and the presentation portrayed pure perfection - indeed a talented Chef with a magic touch for turning out truly appetizing meals.. The setting was very relaxing and the steak sizzler and the peppercorn steak were scrumptious. Oh, and you can't leave without trying the dessert. I would highly recommend the Caramel Latte Mousse. | ★ The food was great but the service was very lacking. A waiter by the name of Jessy forgot one of my side orders. During dinner my family and I also forgot the side order and did not remember to ask him for it. We had reminded him previously of another order he forgotten. But honestly, should a customer have to remember everything they are being served. At the end of dinner we realized that we had been charged for the order even though we did not receive it. Jessy was very rude and implied that I had received the order and was trying to fool him. This was done very publically and in an embarrasing way. I was very upset at his lack of manners and intellegence. Kara Mia is not a restaurant I recommend or would visit again because good food isn't a great draw when the services is bad. Kara Mia responds: I was really shocked to see the comments by Annula and investigated it throughly. After speaking to every one on the floor, no one recalls to have such incident happened. We are known for our great service and good quality food and other reviews on us fully reflect that. |
