★★★★ Excellent customer service and food! It's nice of a non-Muslim brother to offer Zabiha Halal meat and advertise it as such. The place next door looked like it was owned by Muslims but I guess they were too afraid to advertise it. The Kolam dining area could use a facelift though.
★★★★ I went KOLAM couple of time with my family. Nice buffet on lunch and dinner. We tried both. Food is excellent quality. A little bit over priced. Dinner buffet is around $11. If it was cheaper I would come more often. About the Halal status, you should check with the restaurant. The owner, KUMAR, is present most of the time and claims that he buys halal meat. But you should always check with him about halal status of meat.
★★★★★ I visited this place with my family and found it to be a lovely place. Before visiting i had called the restaurant and asked about the halal status which they confirmed.
We arrived at around 1 30 pm so we had the buffet which was nice. They had quite a few dishes on offer and they tasted good, being from an asian family I know good food! Some veggie dishes and the usual tikka masala and chicken jalfrezi dishes.
The fresh gulab jamun the kids loved!
I have been to some asian restaurants and the spice level is so high that you cannot taste the food, but here it was a good blend! One dish i have never tried before was cauliflower manchurian,it was very tasty.
The service was good but it is a small place so does get crowded. The owner seemed more than happy to explain dishes and help.
Overall it was a good experience and since moving to the USA we have been craving a halal restaurant so this was good.
I would reccomend.
