The cheese steaks are always delicious-- completely stuffed with meat, cheese and whatever other toppings you ask for. If you want to go a little lighter, the chicken cheesesteak or the chicken gyros are great as well. On my "healthier" days I've ordered the grilled chicken salad and the grilled chicken wraps and they were both ridiculously good. The DP cold cut sandwich platters are awesome and I've had them delivered lots of times for lunches and brunches that I've held at home and at work. I know most people like to go for the halal meat/chicken sandwiches, but their veggie stromboli is probably the best I've ever had anywhere. The owners go out of their way to get to know the customers, the people cooking the food are friendly and really try to make things the way you want them. And even though I don't usually leave reviews for anything, I really wanted to comment on DP because I recently ordered their catered lamb platter for a large dinner gathering and all I heard from the guests were compliments-- and the whole dinner probably cost me less in money and time than if I'd tried to do it all myself. If you haven't tried this Douglass location yet, than definitely run-- don't walk here and check them out for yourself. |

| ★ Douglas Pizza is not what is used to be. Years ago they were good but now the quality has dropped dramatically. They have messed up my order on 2 separate occasion. The problem is that everyone is using immigrants to prepare the food to save the money. These poor guys don't get properly trained and Douglas Pizza is looking at their bottom line which is profit. Today after waiting 25 minutes, I learnt that my order was never place. Because I was starving I decided to wait a bit longer but what I got was not a burger but bricks. I used to be a huge Douglas Pizza fan but the quality is now worse than HFC (halal fried Chicken) in Woodbridge. It's not like their burgers cost $5. You end up paying $9 with drink and fries but still don't get to enjoy the meal like you used to. I hope the owner is reading this and try to fix it. I will give it a try maybe after 6 months and will report back. The burgers are amazing; the crispy chicken sandwich will make your taste buds do a little dance in your mouth! The pizzas are okay, my 2 yr old loves them, but I’m not a HUGE fan, but they’re not bad. I like the halal pepperoni the best. The brother even cuts it into small pieces for my son. They have the jersey boardwalk fries, best fries EVER! My husband loves the grilled chicken sandwich too. we love this place and wish the people that own it much success. |

The pepperoni pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza were both amazing along with the usual really good cheesesteaks, gyros, and wings. A friend of mine also tried the rotisserie chicken which was pretty good. We asked the owners about the ham and salami listed on the menu and we found out that ALL the meats are halal since they use only halal turkey ham and halal turkey bacon as well as halal beef salami, pepperoni, and sausage. I'd highly recommend this place for families, big groups, or just grabbing a quick bite to eat. I haven't tried them out for delivery yet, but I definitely plan on it, insha'Allah. |

| ★★★★ We went to this place last night. The staff is good, courteous, don't speak much english but are polite and helpful. I think they are Arabs mostly. The place is well-lighted, clean, spacious. The food is delicious and fresh (or as fresh as restuarant food can get), and quickly served. It is also extremely reasonable price-wise. HOWEVER just one glaring negative - the area in which this clean and well-lighted establishment is based is utterly horrible. I would not take my kids there again, in fact it was a mistake to go the first time. We had driven a long way and saw other families sitting inside so we thought to risk it this once. Though the food is very good, the area seems very dangerous and not for the regular suburban-types. We do not plan to go there again. Be warned! Also, for people uncomfortable eating in places where there is muslim literature, though pleasantly decorated, this would not be a suitable eatery. While we are muslims, and do eat halal meat exclusively, we do not see the need to advertise religion in one's day-to-day business. The working environment should be a non-religious affair, though each person is free to carry on their personal religious beliefs while working, such as eating halal or non-halal food. |
