| | ★★★★★ I ordered carry out from here a couple of times. Did not try the buffet yet or any meat items. The South India food however is amazing and comparable to what you can find overseas. The Dakshin Special Dosa was amazing in taste and we have ordered carry out from here the last 5-6 weekends straight. |

| | ★★★ Visited in May, halal sign by register. Buffet looked good with a variety of standard indian dishes. Our carryout order was not ready but was tasty. Pricing seemed high for the portions, will likely not go again. |

| | ★★★★ I don't know why this is on here as halal. There are no signs on this establishment indicating halal and I have not received any information from the staff indicating that it was. To the best of my knowledge this place is not zabihah. There are several other places within a 2 block radius that are zabihah and have their certificates on display in the window.
However, I have eaten here for their masala dosa which is awesome. Truly authentic south indian taste. |

| | ★★★ This place is great find if you want to get off the beaten path of Indian food. Dakshin has really good Indian food. Don't be fooled by the diner decor, the food is very authentic Indian. I've ordered Chicken Tandoori several times and the chicken was always juicy. Moreover, the Karahi Gosht is excellent, the lamb is juicy and it isn’t over spiced. |

| | ★★★★★ Showed up for lunch buffet. I'm not a big veggie eater, most of the dishes were veggie, looked fresh and delicious. My dad loved it and said you can't get this kind of South Asian food on Devon. I sampled a bit and it was very good. They also had goat biryani and tandoori chicken for the meat eaters. Biryani was very good, chicken a bit undercooked for my taste. Sweets were excellent, kulfi, gulab janum, and one more. This is the 2nd best buffet overall I've eaten in Chicago area, especially if you are a veggie eater. Their carpeting needs replacement, shades were drawn when it was sunny outside, but it was mostly clean. It filled up right away as several families appeared so it seems a popular eatery. Most Indian restaurants you don't expect ambience, and if the idols don't bother you, you should enjoy the food here. | | |
