 | NR BE AWARE: NOT HALAL Anymore!
I was there in May 2010 and a Muslim brother who was working there told me that the restaurant will be sold to non-Muslims and most probably will not be Halal anymore. I called the restaurant in September 2010 and they confirmed that the restaurant has a new management and is not Halal anymore. |

 | NR Sadly, we went there last weekend and there was a sign saying that since the change of ownership, the food may not be/is not Halal.
I hope, Inshallah that there will be another Halal authentic Japanese restaraunt soon! I really loved their food. |

 | NR After seeing the note of the last reviewer, I asked the staff today re: changing owner. She stated that the owner will be changed from "Indian Owner" to "Chinese Owner", but they were not sure when that will happen. She states that food is still halal for now, and does not know about what will happen when the new owner comes in. |

 | NR FYI/A - I met the owner yesterday; he informed me personally that the restaurant is changing hands to non-Muslim owners, and they will be using/serving saki. |

 | ★★★★★ Very different compared to the rest of the restaurants around the Toronto area. Food is actually very good. Im not a big fan of Sushi....but even some of the Sushi I liked. A bit pricey but I think that it is worth the money. As for the left-over food that you have to pay for, Totally understandable. I mean...they have to pay for it at the end of the day. And plus, that food wasted could be going to feed the poor instead of in the garbage! |

 | ★★★ I would not call this "Authentic Japanese cuisine" by any means. Far from it. We went for the all-you-can eat on Friday evening, which came out to roughly $25/head. Maybe not worth the food quality and slow service. It's like they drag their feet or miss orders for the all-you-can-eat tables. First timers might want to try it for around $15 at lunch time which is quite good if you wanted to try out the wide selection. The chicken and beef skewers were horrible. The sushi is so-so, but good enough to satisfy your sushi craving. They also have a Hakkah menu, which I haven't tried yet. It's a large place with ample seating, and the owners are muslim so that's a huge incentive to try a halal Japanese place. |

 | ★★★★ Nice place. However, sushi is average. It's great that the meat is halal but relative to other places the food is just okay. The owners are Muslim but there is still Japanese people making the sushi, which is good. |

 | ★★★★★ I went on a Saturday afternoon. The service was quick and good, and the food was, simply put, GREAT. There IS a charge for not finishing food, so order as much as you can eat. Their Mango roll is MUST-TRY! They had the best fried rice I had in a while. Chicken and beef skewers were delicious. Not too impressed w/ the desserts, but all the other stuff definitely make up for it! Can't wait to go there again :) |

 | ★★ Food was excellent... when they brought it to us. This was the second time I went. Service for the buffet was very good at the beginning of the meal with quick service, but then slowly they began to miss a dish or two when we told them what we would like next, followed by long delays before bringing what we ordered, and eventually they completely ignored us and didn't bring anything, to the point that i had to remind three different servers what I had ordered before I got the items I had asked for (even though they wrote it down, they still managed to forget one item in the end). Both times I went it seemed like quite a few dishes and desserts were "not available today". Perhaps they felt that we had eaten enough. I really enjoyed the food itself, but if a restaurant is going to include the service charge in the bill, I feel that the service should not be leaving a lot to be desired. |

 | ★★★★★ Took my family to this restaurant this evening. The decor was really nice. We had the buffet. This was the first time that I went to a buffet and didn't have to leave my seat. There was alot of variety and it seemed that everything tasted really good, I enjoyed the teriaki steak, the grilled eggplant and the volcano sushi rolls and many other items that I cannot remember. The price was a little high and the 10% service charge surprised me but the quality of the food more than made up for that. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. |

 | ★★★★★ Went to this on Saturday Dec. 12. Huge place, good decor and nice atmosphere. Halal signs clearly displayed in several places and on all menus. It's all you can eat (incl. dessert & drinks), but as with most sushi places, there's a charge for any dish not eaten, so it's better to order some to start and see how it goes. HUGE variety - we tried a lot of different things. Mango rolls, chicken skewers, beef teriyaki steak and shrimps with special mayo sauce highly recommended. The owners are Muslim and very friendly. He told me that all ingredients are halal. The only down side was that we found the service a bit on the slow side. Overall highly recommended - I commend them for venturing into this new market. I think they will do very well. |

 | ★★★★★ Authentic Japanese cuisine that's halal! This one of a kind restaurant truly owns up to its claims. Went there during their opening and the staff were really friendly, the food was great, and the place is nicely decorated and spacious. Now I can have teriyaki meats and not just sushi when it comes to Japanese food! |

 | ★★★★★ As a huge sushi fan I was excited to hear about this place and finally had a chance to try it out. An EXCELLENT place, recommended to all sushi lovers! But even for non-sushi eaters, there are so many other things on the menu to try ou. You'll have to be careful or you can fill up on those! The chicken and beef skewers were delicious and the beef and garlic teppenyaki is a must try- the most tender beef ever! If you're daring try the beef tataki, it's raw but it's delicious. The hand rolls were very good as well. The mango roll is something unique but surprisingly one of the best rolls I have ever had. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and are excellent quality. If that's not all, their dessert menu (included in the all you can eat menu) is extensive and the tiramisu is a MUST HAVE! The service was excellent, quick, and the servers were very friendly. The owners were also very forthcoming and friendly when asked where the meat was purchased. This place is a must try for everyone, you won't regret it! |
