★★★★ Note the sign outside the restaurant says "Tandoor on Haight". Stopped in here for a late lunch the other day. Tried the lamb vindaloo special (spicy curry with tender lamb pieces and potato) which was pretty good, though the sauce tasted a little too much tomato-y. Comes with a small side of daal (lentils) which was very good and fresh naan (excellent and even had a little butter on it). I also ordered a mango lassi, which at first had a little "spicy masala" taste, but luckily that went away after awhile. Interior of the place is nice and the service is friendly. They take credit cards and also give complimentary chai (tea) which is always a plus:)!
