Tuba Restaurant and Grill opened in January 2010 in the heart of the Mission and immediately received critical acclaim for its delicious cuisine, warm ambiance, and friendly service. All of our food, including our special Turkish bread, is made from scratch by our chef-owner Coskun Bektas, from the freshest natural ingredients. Tuba?s food melds the best of all Mediterranean cultures. I went there with my husband and we were warmly greeted by owner and staff, and given a good table.
Service was quick, attentive and the staff responsive.
Food was AMAZING and generously portioned! Appetizer was healthy and yummy. For my entree, I felt like I was back in Istanbul, enjoying a juicy,well seasoned, grilled kefta. Desert, the Kneafe, was deliciously warm and sweet, and we were served Turkish coffe, with pride, by the owner himself.
The ambiance was lively, and thriving. Clientel is. Ostly non-Muslim, despite the food being halal. Yes they serve wine, but I was there to eat and wasnt particularly bothered by it.
The owner takes pride in his work and is humble in his service...
