|  | ★★★ The neighborhood is very busy with a lot of bars and people (a little like a club scene on Friday night) Although we had a reservation we weren't seated for a half hour passed our reservation time. The upscale Persians who dine there seem to be very on the snooty side giving me and my husband wierd looks. Although, if you can muster all that, the service is great, the food is incredible, and the ambiance is nice. The portions are so large that you will surely have plenty of left-overs. Overall, highly recommended!! |

|  | ★★★★ Bandar, a Persian ristorante in the heart of the Gaslamp District. We were told that certain items were Halal (koubideh, lamb shank) on the phone and this was later verified by the wait staff. However, I would definitely recommend self-verification of Zabihah items before ordering.
The koubideh plate was expensive, but the quantity was enormous and the quality was pretty decent. You'll definitely be bringing home leftovers unless your a bodybuilder or fat. |
