★★★★★ The founder of the Halal Board of San Diego is a joke. He used to eat supermarket meat for years and now he's going along deciding who does and doesn't sell halal meat? I would take what they say with not a grain but a cup of salt.
★★★ I was there in the fall of 2008 and I dont recall this being an Afghan establishment. It was a convert brother from Samoa whose wife was a Caucasian convert and operated the register. They had Mexican women cooking the dishes, therefore they had excellent, authentic ZABIHA Mexican dishes! The brother who owns it butchers the meat himself (he comes out with an apron and boots on and everything). Its not exactly upscale and could be a little cleaner, but there was a community feel and good food.
